Summer Fun

We went to dollar tree yesterday and each kid got two things. Rachel picked two crafting/coloring things. Carter got a toy gun and gummy worms. Dayton got airplanes and candy. Vivian got Mike n Ike’s to share with Dad. We were all pretty happy! 

Remodel Begins!

It’s been a long time coming! We have dreamt of this ever since we bought the house. We are moving our stairs, opening up a wall upstairs, increasing kitchen space and making the half bath downstairs a full bath along with fixing duct work. We can’t wait!!!! 

Yesterday we handed the kids hammers and safety glasses then let them destroy the house.  We even had cold cereal for dinner. They thought we were the best  parents ever!!! We are kids, we are! Enjoy all the before pics and demo day pics! I will try to update as progress is made. We hope it’s done by the time school starts. 

Post Office Fun

I got a job!!!!

I will write more another time but very randomly I applied, interviewed and accepted a job at North Park Elementary teaching half day kindergarten. I am thrilled and feel very strongly that God lead me to this. He placed this opportunity in my families path and by having faith and courage to do it, we will be blessed. I hope so. So many unknowns still, I just accepted last Friday. I will be closing my doors to ABC Preschool that I have owned and loved for 7 years. Big change! I know I will love being back in the classroom but I am overwhelmed. Right now I’m thankful and praying schedules work out for my kids so I can teach half day with no stress. Grandma Trudy will help once a week and as a backup which is wonderful and calming to me. 

Cows are out to pasture!

This weekend Adam and Kevin Bennett took care of the cows and put them out to pasture. Adam said it was “fun.” Ha! They vacinated castrated and deformed, well they were too late to dehorn, oh well. Now they are behind our neighbors house in their pasture not in our hollow. We hope they grow big and fat! Thanks Kevin for all the help!
