Summer stuff, stuff, stuff!

Adam and I are starting to get ready for summer. Adam got some "smoo" new clothes as did I with some of my graduation shopping spree Adam gave me. Today I opened all the windows and aired out the mucky house. It smells much better now. I also cleaned the house and sanitized everything. It's finally feels clean, yeah! Also we worked on the back patio together tonight for about a half hour. It is a small patio but a patio non the less. We both love being outside so it was nice to get our small "backyard" cleaned up. We sat outside in our lawn chairs and ate dinner which was fun. Once it started to get a bit chilly we headed in and watched the best movie ever, Happy Feet!
This week has been a busy one with many interviews for me, work for Adam, and trying to get ourselves ready for a busy summer with scouts, youth conference, our jobs, Breezy's wedding, the darling Allen kids, and trying to fit in time for some vacations of our own. We are excited for it to all start! Happy summer all!

Wicked!!!

Adam and I went to Wicked last night at the Capitol Theatre. It was soooooo good! I was more than pleased with our purchase. It was amazing how well these actors/actress sang compared to the college performances that I have seen. Broadway musicals are just so much better! Adam and I both loved it! The performance was excellent and they really put on a good show. I loved the moral of the story as well! We got home around 12:30 last night but it was well worth the long drive home.

Happy Birthday Nate!

Nate turned 15 on April 20th! We had his party a day early at Mom and Dad's house. Grandma and Grandpa came up which is always fun! We gave Nate a basketball. He also got clothes, a tie, money, and other stuff that I forget. Anyway, we sure love you Nate. You are such a funny guy and always help us smile! Happy Birthday Bud!

Off I go into the wild blue yonder.... I'm graduating!

I am done student teaching! My last day was April 21st or this last Tuesday. It feels so great to be done. Now I am just working on my portfolio that is due on Monday. I am almost done with it too. I have 5 more artifacts to scan in and then I need to print it off and get some tabs. On Monday I meet with my supervisor about my final evaluation for my first grade block and turn in my portfolio. Then I am done and graduate on May 2nd! Sweet!
Adam and I are going to dinner with a bunch of friends this Friday to celebrate the end of the semester and graduation plus we are going to Wicked, a broadway musical, on Saturday in Salt Lake. It should be so fun! Also Adam gave me $200 shopping spree for me to have fun with as a graduation present. I was thrilled, thank you hunny! We also have another eagle court of honor on Saturday. It is so nice to see the boys recieving their eagle. Also Steve and Christa are moving on Saturday because they got a manager position for the summer and next school year. It's good cause they don't have to pay rent. Adam and I were looking at being managers about a year ago but ended up not taking the job because we didn't feel good about the owners and how they would have treated us and their tenants. But the Stokes have a good owner who seems great! So we are excited for them. Also I am doing a girls hair in an updo for prom. :) So this Saturday is a big day for us but until then I am sleeping in, letting my house get dirty, working on my portfolio, and just loving the idea of having to do nothing. :)

Joseph is so cool!

Today I went to Joseph's track meet at Logan High. Jo got to go because he is pretty good. He runs the 400 and the medaly relay. To be able to go to this meet you had to be the top 4 in your event from your school and Jo is! With over 100 ish kids on the team that is a big deal! It was fun to watch him run. He is dang good and such a stud! Here are a few pictures of him kicking butt!

Flowers and BBQ!

This Monday Adam and I had fun picking out flowers to plant. I really wanted to plant flowers because they are so cheery! We spent a "bit" of money that we weren't planning on but it was worth it! It was so fun to plant them too. I love the gerber daisies, personally.

Also we went to first dam and had a BBQ with Joe and Rachelle Diaz and also Sara and Adam Howes. Steve and Makenna came too. This is a funny picture I caught of Adam Howes and Makenna. She didn't like him that much. ha ha! It was fun to get together with some friends and enjoy each others company.

Happy Easter!!! My family always celebrates easter on two days one easter bunny day with the egg hunt and the baskets and the second day is about our savior. So here are pictures of our easter bunny day. Adam got new flip flops and candy. I got new capri's, a shirt, and candy. :)

The second day was spent in St. George with Dad, Raven, Jessie, and Seth. We went to church, on a walk, and enjoyed each others company. It was nice as always.

Let us always remember our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the great sacrifice he made for us. Also may we remember his resurection and the love that he has for each of us. Happy Easter everyone!

Hogle Zoo!

We went to the zoo with Mom. It was great fun! It was so nice to visit with her and spend time in the nice weather. Here are some pictures of our trip. It has been awhile since Adam and I have been to the zoo and it was so fun.

Adam loved the giraffs because it was real close to him and was trying to lick him. Check out this picture that I caught.And guess who we saw at the zoo with her little boy? See if you can tell who it is?

Yup, you guessed it Megan from this seasons American Idol. I didn't talk to her, I just snapped a picture a few feet away because she had some people already talking to her. I thought that was pretty funny that we ran into her.

Welcome back birds! At least I think that is what that is. This is our new pet and I am thrilled about it, ha ha :) It has been in our wall for about a week and the poor thing is clearly stuck. Sad to say that I think is has died now because it is not longer moving. Don't ask me how it got in there, our landlord says maybe it flew in through a vent outside. ??? who knows???

Anyway, Happy Spring and Happy Easter!

Scholarship!

We just got news that Adam was offered the biggest scholarship that Utah State gives for the masters program!!! Sweet! He was absolutley thrilled as was I. Weber also offered him a scholarship but it is only $1000 for two semesters so it is not as great. We are so grateful that he got offered scholarships because that will help us a ton when it comes to paying for his masters. I am so proud of Adam for getting awesome grades and doing so well on his GMAT. Great job hunny!
So long story short Adam is going to accept his scholarship at Utah State and we will stay up here for at least another year and a half. We are just praying that a job pulls through for me now. Still, because all the schools are now on spring break, I have not heard anything more on my job. I am confident that I will though. :)

Saturday Conference

This is what I did to keep me awake during conference. I loved conference today by the way. It was wonderful! I really loved Elder Ballards talk about learning from our parents/those who have gone through similar experiences before us. I have always been told that smart people make mistakes but smarter people learn from others mistakes. So true! It was also neat to hear so much about the temple.

Check out these new shorts! Isn't he a hotty? I surprised Adam with these new shorts today. He loves wearing shorts but he only has three pairs that are all too small or really old and worn. Oh and he does have 2 pairs of gym shorts but those are "work out" shorts not real shorts right girls?
And here is a really gross picture of my lovely face early on a Saturday morning in my new spring shirt. I love Ross! This shirt was only $6! I think it is worth $6 to feel cute and to get something for yourself. It's been a LONG time since I bought clothes. Go me! But yesterday I decided that it was time for something new.

Well now it is 11:30 and WAY past my bedtime. I guess it is good that I don't have school tomorrow because it is a WEEKEND!!! YAHOO!!!!!! And general conference weekend too, that is a plus! :)

Adam's April Note!

Happy early Easter!! This April is an exciting month for us. Angie is going to graduate and we will find out about a job for her in the next couple of weeks. It's nice to see the progress that we are making in our lives and in our family. I'm still working at Zions and will be returning to school in the fall to begin my masters. We are in a bigger place now and we are actually looking at buying a townhome when Ang gets her teaching job. It's crazy to think that we might be buying our first home when we haven't even been married for two years.
Angie was also very nice and made a special day for us today. We had a gourmet meal of hotdogs, home made fries, and lemonade. We dressed up as always when you eat gourmet food. Then we got to spend the evening together with nothing else to do. It's nice to just sit down for a while. She also gave me instructions on special cards explaining the next thing that she had planned for me. It was a lot of fun!!

News about a job!

My supervisor emailed me yesterday and said that she got a phone call from the principal at Adams Elementary in Logan about me. She said that she gave me a GLOWING reference! I am glad to hear that. Also things with Box Elder are still not for sure, but Terry Jackson the HR director of the district personally called me two weeks ago and said they would love to have me teach in their district. They simply did not know what positions they had available right then but they should know next weeks. Hopefully I get a call from both and they both really like me so I can have a choice as to where I go. That'd be nice!
Also we are looking at townhomes to buy. Nothing is for sure yet but we hope we will be buying! It's a great time to buy now, the market is really great with a lot of perks plus it's a good time for us too!
