Next year D will go to Kindergarten. He excelled in Mrs. Harker's class. It was good for him to be away from Mom and make lots of new friends at school. Kim does a good job and generally he liked going. He is a social butterfly but not a "school lover" like Rachel and I. He did well in his program and looked so handsome! He sang and focused for almost the whole thing. We are proud of you buddy!

Memorial Day
Rach and I went down with Mom and Dad today to visit grandma's grave. It was nice to meet up with Annette, Bruce, and Lisa there. The girls had fun together too! How I love and loved my grandma Evelyn. She taught me to be hard working, pick raspberries, stand my ground, have faith and hope, to love and serve others, but most importantly to love Swann man icecream and playing Lincoln logs on Orange shag carpet. To all the veterans out there who serve our country or who did, thank you!!!

Thank you Me!
I am SO glad I signed up for weight watchers and took control of my health, habits, and body. I am proud of myself! It's been a month now and I am happy to say, I have lost weight, feel better, eat less treats and low carb meals while eating more fruits and veggies. Plus, my clothes fit better and no belly pudge unless I bend over (stretched out baby bearing skin which will probably never go away) and all my pants fit loose. Yeah!!!

Rachel's Preschool Graduation
Today we went to Rachel's preschool graduation. She was actually shy, there were lots of strangers there, standing over them, I know it made her nervous. However, she did sing 5 little pumpkins, I'm a little snowflake, the leprechaun song and 5 little valentines pretty well. It was fun for Rach to go to her own school this year and feel big. Thanks Mrs. Kalei!

Samuel the Laminite
FHE rein acting Samuel the Laminite high on the city wall! We read the story in the scriptures, learned the verse in the song Book or Mormon stories and played this activity of throwing paper wads at "Samuel." It was hilarious and the kids preached "repent, sin no more, Christ is coming." It was hilarious and memorable!

Relief Society Secretary
Today I was called to be the secretary for the relief society in our ward. I was set apart and wanted to jot down some things here for personal reasons. bishop Shelton set me apart and he blessed me to know that God is aware of me and my struggles. That I am a good mother and wife and that I may continue to be while I serve in this calling. That I can manage my time wisely and also recognize the gifts I have that will bless the sisters. To keep good records, ours is one of record keeping, to be organized. (I think I am an organized person so I hope I didn't this to be true.) That my ability to be friends with anyone will bless the sisters and to make sisters feel loved and welcomed. That this calling is one for growth. (Id say, I feel way too young for this. The other ladies could be my mom! I do admire them and love them but I am the young buck here.) To pray and study the scriptures and listen to the spirit.
I'm happy to serve the sisters! I love my ward and I feel blessed to be able to grow in this way. I hope to bring hnity and sisterhood to the relief society, more than we have ever had. I love this gospel, I love the Lord. I hope I can do what is needed of me in this calling. Also, that I can juggle family and Adams callings with it as well.
Bright spot is now I am being released from 3 of my other 4 callings. Three for one isn't a bad trade! :)

Random, MUST be blogged photos that I want to remember from April!
Rachel helping Grandpa Day build/fix the picnic table.
Showing her muscles!
Plugging her ears when Grandpa's saw was on.
Rachel helping use the drill to put in the screws.
Carter LOVES Grandma's tramp! Look at that face.
Nate with Carter boy!
Joe and Susan before dinner!
Jared jumping with Carter and letting go of him in the air. He is such a fun Uncle, the stuff he does scares me to death but the kids adore him!
Uncle Joe with Talia and Carter
Even though it is blurry I wanted this to be added. Grandma loves her Grand babies!
Our Family snap shot while everyone was there, nothing fancy!
