WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!

It's true after making 3 other offers on homes this one is it!!!! We are thrilled and feel so blessed. This house is in Mendon which we love and is on .62 acres. It has raspberries in the back yard, a small canal (stream thing) in the front, is about 2902 sq feet, built in 1996, and has over a dozen full grown trees. The yard is a mess and the grass is near dead but it is bankowned so obviously it's not looking it's best but it's okay with us, we will fix it.

We got this home for 40,000 less than the listed price, which was high anyway, but still it was a good deal. Now we just start the long process and paper work. Wish us luck! Sorry no picture! It will come soon!

Summer update!

Just an update...
We don't have internet so that is why it has been awhile since I last posted. Today my brother got ordained to an Elder. His mission papers are in and now we just wait. Jared turns 19 in October so we are thrilled to have our first missionary on my side.

I will be teaching summer school for two days this next weeks just as a sub for the girl who usually does it. I am excited to teach a bit since I love it!

School starts in a month. I am nervous and can't wait. I need to start getting busy though. I met a girl at my school Summer Fagen who is my age just last week and we are both glad we have each other since many teachers at the school are not our age. So that will be good to have someone with new ideas to talk to as well as the teachers with lots of old ideas.

We put an offer on a house in Mendon, 10 minutes from my work and 10 from Adams, last Thursday and are supposed to hear tomorrow. We hope we get it!!!!! This would just be perfect for us and we think Mendon is beautiful. We will let you know.

Adam is liking his new job and learning a lot. He is going to be doing audits starting August 3rd. He is glad about that.

We spent the 24th working, resting, and eating. This past weekend we were able to see all of my family and Adams (minus Bug and Mat) sorry guys! It was really nice to visit Dad. He brightens your day that is for sure. He took us to Olive Garden when he got done working. It was nice!

And that is all for now. I will try to update when we find out about the house. Happy summer all!

Welcome home my hott scout leader!

Adam has been gone for one whole week! Ahhhh, it has been lonely even though I have been really busy. Going to sleep at night just isn't the same and I don't sleep nearly as well either. So I will be relieved when he comes home tomorrow afternoon. He better be home before 4pm or I will cry. He said probably 3ish. Dang scout camp!

So after work today I spent an hour making these yummy cookies! I think that they turned out cute! I am going to have them set out for him when he comes home.

I also decorated with a welcome home sign and some balloons. I am sooooo sooooo ready for him to walk in that door. Then the plan is to kiss him til he is blue!!!! After he shaves.... (wink wink)

Not having Adam around for a week really makes me grateful for such a wonderful husband who loves me so much and lets me snuggle up to him all the time. He is my sweetheart! I love you babe!

The time has come...

It's official ADAM IS GONE!!! :(

I don't know what to do with myself. Maybe I will buy a box of ding dongs, snuggle up with my teddy bear and watch You've Got Mail. Sounds like a good idea to me, except,
i can't.

I have to run a few last minute errands for girls camp early tomorrow morning before I work at 10am and then I leave right from work down to Heber where I will be until late Wednesday night. Then after a nights sleep in my real bed I will be working Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I don't think I will be missing Adam too terribly much. But I will miss him! It's always hard even if you are busy to go to bed alone and be in an empty house by yourself. All I can say is that I hope the monsters stay in the closet!

Camp, camp, camp...

We have some big things coming our way within the next few weeks. On Sunday Adam will be leaving to scout camp for the whole week. He will be on a canoe the whole week. He has to pack all of his stuff on the canoe so I hope they don't tip. :) But if they do, which is likely, he is packing his stuff in waterproof bags. So that'll be fun for him and the boys! I hope he remembers to wear sunscreen when I am not there to only put it on half of his back. ha ha ha!
On Monday I will be leaving to girls camp but only for the first 3 days not the whole week. I will be back home Wednesday night so I can work Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I am excited for camp! I am not in young womens but they have asked me to go the past couple of years because the other leaders can't/won't go. I am thrilled to go because I know and love all the girls. Which reminds me I need to prepare a 5 minute talk on the shield of faith. If you have any ideas, please let me know!

After this next week we have one more week at home together until we both head off to youth conference. It'll be fun to go camping together with all the youth. Then, it will be August!!! WOW! That means school time. I have lots to do! A boy in my class emailed me today to ask me when he would get the list of things he needs for the first day, I thought it was so cute and responsible since school doesn't start for a month and a half.

We are looking at houses in Mendon now since it's only 15 minutes to my work and 10 minutes to USU and Adams work. So it's a half way spot for us. It's so pretty out there. We actually made an offer on a house out there last week, it was a short sale. It was 1999 on .65 acres listed at 177 and it appraised for 240. We got preapproved and made an offer but we were 2nd out of 3 offers so it's a no go unless the first offer falls through. I am wishing it will but it's not likely. We both loved the house. Now we are considering building since all the homes out there are old old old or in the high 200,000 and up which is not our price range. There is a plot of land that is .64 acres that we are considering buying but we are still looking into it. Who knows maybe we might end up renting for another year. Who knows but I hope not.

That is all from the Chandler family for now. I will post some pictures from camp when I get home. Have fun until then!

Happy 4th of July!

We started celebrating on the 3rd at James and Michelles house for a family BBQ! It was so fun to see lots of my cousins and catch up on things. The food was great and while we were there Adam found something he likes to play with......

And I found something that I like to play with too.....

After the BBQ we watched the fireworks up at USU. They are always good!
Then on the 4th we woke up early and started making pancakes, hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, and chocolate milk. The traditional pancake breakfast that our stake does every year had the best turn out we have had since it has been started, about 1800 people. It was a lot of work but fun. Here are just a few pictures that I took.

Let freedom ring! We are so grateful for this wonderful country that we have been blessed to live in. Happy 4th everyone!

Skin....

I know it's gross but I had to document how much Adam peeled from Bear Lake last week. That is a lot of skin for just the low back. Might I add that I have just tanned up expect one side of my face peeled. Adam is so jealous because he just burns and freckles and I burn and tan; well my face freckles too. I told him he should not envy me but be glad that our kids will have a chance at being tan. :)

Our summer is going well! We can't believe that it is JULY!!! Wow time goes by quick when your having fun. This weekend we have a pancake breakfast for the whole stake and everyone in the valley is invited. This is something our stake has done every year so it's big. So we will be busy all day on the 4th! It should be a good fundraiser for the scouts they plan on thousands of people coming. This does take tons of planning and Adam has been in charge of the whole thing with two other guys helping him. So we will be glad when it's over. Hopefully I will have time to get some pictures to post.

Also we have been thinking of our little buddy Brigham Allen who had a huge surgery on his heart on June 30th. He is at the best hospital for this procedure which is in Boston. The other three kids are with Grandma's. Brig is two years old and we love this little boy! So far all is well and he is healing up, they are keeping him paralyzed and sedated so he can get better. He is in our prayers, well the whole family is. We love you Brig!
