This past week...

This past week Adam and I both took a day off and went to Bear Lake. It was nice weather, finally not rainy, and we enjoyed each others company. I am sad to say that I am not a very "even" sunscreen applier because Adam got sunburned on his low back. I put sunscreen on the top half but apparently I got distracted and forgot to do the bottom. So, he has a pretty good sun burn line right now, with finger prints. :) Sorry hunny but it is pretty funny!

I also signed all my paper work for my teaching job next year! Yeah! I'm glad that is done. It's crazy to think only one more month until I have to go to some new teacher trainings, a benefit fair, and start spending a lot more time in my classroom preparing.

Adam finished his last day at Zions. The branch gave him two gifts to put on his desk; a bamboo plant and two really cool pens. He is sad to be leaving but happy to be moving onto something in his field that will hopefully be long term.

House hunting? It's still going on and I don't really want to talk about it.

funny thing: I said to Adam, " I wuv you!" He replies, "When are you going to stop wuving me and start loving me?" I laughed.

Other than that we are doing well and loving the sun!

Cute house in Smithfield!

This is the house we looked at in Smithfield last night. We REALLY love this house, the area, and the yard! It is on a third of an acre and the people have taken good care of it. We love the white fence too! Plus there is just a large field behind us, no back yard neighbors. It has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and the kitchen is pretty big, which is a big deal to me. Anyway, we have not made an offer yet because we found out that it is a manufactured home and we want to look into it before we move on anything. Our one concern is resale value but we are looking into it for ourselves and will spend some time praying about it and see how we feel then. But, don't you think it is darling? Flag pole and all?
Wish us luck!

House update!

Here is the house! Isn't it cute?
The people came back with a counter offer on our offer last Friday and we are not one hundred percent sure what we want to do yet. We like the house and love the location but their counter offer is way too high. So we are going to look at another house this afternoon in Smithfield and then decide what we want to do. It's a long process that is fun but a bit overwhelming as well.
We will let you know.

Wind Caves!

We hiked to the wind caves for young mens on Tuesday and it was fun! We were lucky the rain stopped for a little bit. It seems that it has been raining every day for the past two weeks, geez! I am grateful for the water though. Anyway, I went with the boys and had a good time. At first I tried to keep up with the older boys that were running up the mountain and I got tired really quick so them I stayed back with some of the younger boys that took a slow and steady pace and of course Adam stayed with those boys too. :)

In the first picture is Jeremy and Adam.
In this second picture is a little boy I don't know then Derek, DJ, Cameron, and Tanner.
All of these boys are such great kids! We sure love spending so much time with them and we are grateful we have the opportunity to serve in Young Mens.
Also we put an offer in on a house in Hyde Park last night. Yeah! Now we just wait! We will keep you updated.

Lots of little Love Bugs and BIG NEWS....

Jared, my brother, graduated from Sky View High School on June 2, 2009! He is an awesome brother and I am very proud of him. Go Bubba!

We got to live with these cute love bugs for five days while their Mom and Dad were in Alaska. We sure love Chloe, Lily, Brigham, and Cannon. We took Cannon to Breezy's wedding and he was a trooper. The three older kids were going to come with us but as we thought about it more and more we decided that it would be too long of a day for them and it would end with lots of tears. So we played it safe and they stayed with my Mom and Lisa. Thanks Mom and Lis the kids had a blast! Stanton and Julie, you guys are great! Thanks for the bear salt and pepper shakers and cards I love them.During the 3 hour break I had between the Allen home and the Reeder home I got a hair cut. I cut off 7 inches. It is an A line and I love it. I think it'll be staying for a while. P.S. I always feel dumb taking pictures of myself so don't mind the awkward smile.

These are the Reeder girls ages 9,6, and 3. We loved tending these kiddos! Their parents went to Italy for 9 days and we lived in their big house but most importantly slept on their temperpetic matress, NICE!!!! I loved it! Anyway these kids were so well behaved and helpful. They were extremely obedient most of the time which was nice for me. This picture is of the girls in the back of the Rhino. Adam and I fell in love with the Rhino, it was so much fun! We took it off road up some steep hills and man that thing can climb. It was awesome! We totally want one now!

This is Kate, age 3, holding a picture of the good samaritan for family night lesson. After the lesson and some songs we went out for icecream. It was yummy! Sorry the picture is dark.

We did many fun things with these four kids. We went to the pool, to the jungle gym at the fun park, we made cupcakes and brownies, we went to the park, built huts, watched movies in the theater room, painted pictures, and much much more. Here are just a few pictures of some of the happenings while we were there.

When Reeders got home on Saturday at 2am they gave us nice gifts. I got a cashmere scarf from Florence it is way "in" and nice! Adam got a dang good looking tie from rome.

After these two and a half weeks of other peoples children we needed a get away and so the next morning we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house with some young men and then stayed in Salt Lake and went to Night at the Museum 2, which is excellent and Texas Road House, our favorite, and then we stayed in a hotel just us. It was nice!

BIG NEWS....

Also Adam got a new job and will start in 2 weeks. He will be working at Peterson, Allred, and Jackson accounting firm. He interviewed for an internship with them for next tax season and they liked him so much that within a week they interviewed him twice and offered him a job! They said they want him to get trained and know what is going on with their software and firm so when all the other interns come in Janurary he can be over them. SWEET! They will also reevaluate his pay then too. We feel so blessed to be able to have this great opportunity come up. Yeah! And I am so proud of Adam! Great work hunny!
And I just had to post this picture because MaKenna is getting so big! She looks more like a little person now and less like a baby. We love her!

MoAb BiKiNg Trip!

The boys in the family Adam, Josh, Mat, Micheal, and Mathew went on a weekend trip to Moab a couple of weeks ago. Micheal is Josh's brother and Mathew is Mat's nephew. They rode the slickrock and had a blast. I had to steal this picture off Josh and Janae's blog since Adam never remembers to take pictures. Anyway, they had fun together and Adam said everyone biked really well. It's a good memory!

Weddings, haircuts, and kids that aren't ours!

Life is good. We are now taking care of four new children ages 9,6,3, and 1. They are very mellow and helpful. Adam and I love their big open house with huge windows. We feel pretty special to be in a home like this. We have especially enjoyed the theater room. :)

I got my hair cut today, 7 inches. Wow! I like it for the summer though. I will post a picture later.

My sister in law, Breezy, got married yesterday to Mat Daly. The wedding was so nice and the decorations were beautiful. Two layers of her cake were rice cripies which I thought was brilliant. She is happy and they make a cute couple. The bishop did a nice job with the ceremony as well. Adam hugged Bug after the ceremony and cried. It was so sweet! He really loves his little sister. It was also nice to talk to so many people that we know and love!

I will try to keep posting but it might not happen for a while with these kids we are tending now. We will be here for nine days and then we are going to have a weekend away just the two of us.

It's a Monday that is for sure!

I have four darling children to play with and I don't feel well. Ya, it stinks! I am glad it is nice outside so they can play in the yard. I am also grateful that Adam didn't have to go to work until noon today.

Adam has an interview on Tuesday for an internship this next spring at Petersen, Jackson, and Allred here in the valley. We are glad he has the opportunity to interview and we both hope he impresses them and gets the internship.

My friend Sara got a job teaching 3rd grade at Summit Elementary in Smithfield. I am so happy for her! She has worked dang hard to get a job and deserves it.

Sorry for not posting pictures our camera is not working and hasn't for a couple weeks. Hopefully we get it figured out.
