Red Neck Water Slide

At the beginning of the month we went to a young single adult activity for FHE with my parents. We got to have fun on the HUGE red neck water slide in Wellsville. Yes, the peoplewho own this literally made a water slide down their mountain. Dayton was in HEAVEN! He wanted to go again and again. He wanted to go by himself, I wouldn't allow that on the big one. He wanted to try standing up, laying down, on Dad's shoulders, everything he could think of Adam and D did! Rachel was super brave and went down the big one 3 times at 20 months old with her Daddy. She did go down the little one a lot more, she thought that was more fun. I'm sure it was far less scary to a 1 1/2 year old. I was one proud Momma! My kids rocked it!

The BIG slide!

Rachel's first time and her death grip on Adam's leg hairs.
The after face is much happier. Ha ha ha!

Dayton was on cloud 9!

 Coolest Grandpa EVER!

Rachel's second time...

The smaller hill that Dayton did on his own!

Adam tried taking Rachel behind him because she didn't like the water splashing in her face. She liked going this way!

D all on his own! Woot!

Another attempt to reduce water splashing in Rachel's face. Using the pad wasn't that great, it slowed them down and Rachel couldn't see.

Rachel wanted to go down with Dayton. So they all went together! Fun!

Back to the big slide when all the young single adults were eating and there was no line. Adam and Dayton must have gone down 20 times during dinner.

We had a blast!

Souvenir

My Dad went to Washington DC last week for a work conference. When we were little kids and Dad would go on business trips he would always bring us back a souvenir. Typically it was a t-shirt off the street of DC and airplane peanuts. As kids we always LOVED that!

Well, this trip my Dad doesn't have little kids at home to surprise so he surprised the Grand kids. T-shirts! I will be honest it wasn't the best "surprise" for the kids I'm sure they would have rather had a toy BUT I loved the thought and it made me remember when I was young.

Here are the kids in their shirts. Adam and I also got one too. Thanks Dad!

24 weeks!

Sunday

Today was one of those Sunday mornings that really made me see our Heavenly Father's plan for us. We spent the morning eating a real "sit down" breakfast of orange cranberry muffins and fruit together. We turned off the cartoons and turned on primary songs. The kids LOVED it! They twirled and danced and giggled for a good 30 minutes. Adam took a video but those take too long to post. They sang almost every song too, it's amazing how many they know just from hearing them in nursery and practicing them during FHE. Plus, I sing primary songs to them A LOT! Here are just some pictures of my darling kids on Sunday morning. I love them, they make Adam and I complete.

Rachel at 20 months old!

Dayton at 3 1/2 years old! Pulling silly faces all on his own.

My darling boy! Look at those eyes!

It is crazy to think that when Dayton was as old as Rach is in these pictures we had Rachel. Nuts! I am glad we have a couple more months this time around.

Because sometimes...

I like to post about the second thing that consumes my time, preschool! (my children being the first obviously)

Today I visited Dollar Tree to restock the basics and the treasure box for fall. I also got stuff to create my birthday wall that I keep meaning to get to. Well, $86 later, which is cheap by the way for all the stuff I got, here are my 2 projects for the day.

A Birthday Wall! I will write names and dates with a dry erase marker on the cupcakes. They are laminated so I can wipe them off and use them next year Cute huh?

All 24 stuffed and addressed envelopes with back to school info for all my students and their parents. Thanks Ad for addressing while I stuffed. So happy I have a dozen kids in each class this year, 24 total!

Preschool is A LOT of fun for me! Sometimes I'm overwhelmed  by all the prep but every time I sit down and do preschool stuff I remember how much I enjoy it! I do have nights when the kids are down and a neighbor girl, Kaimbre, who does simple prep for me like cutting for just $5 an hour. That helps! Plus this next year, since I'm having a baby, I have my good friend Teena Young co-teaching. Hallelujah! I love what I do!
