It's that time!
Today is the day, I'm 16 weeks along and my belly is out! That means that today I mustered up the energy to pull out the maternity boxes (even though I've been wearing maternity shirts for a month) hang up my maternity shirts and replace my normal pants with stretchy maternity ones. It's a bit discouraging, maternity clothes are much more comfortable but just not as cute as my skinny jeans. Ha! I am a person who learned early on with all my pregnancies that its just best not to fight wearing maternity stuff and to just be comfortable. Maybe this is because I show so early...and get so big!
Park City
Sue, janae, and I spent Saturday shopping in park city since they have great deals over Memorial Day. It was so fun! I love Janae, she shops like me and we get along well. Sue is always easy going no matter what! We had yummy lunch at Squatters and I ordered fish and chips, so good!
I bought a TON of kid stuff and spent about $150 on them. I bought me some $3 cardigans, (woot!) $3 pink corduroy pants for pregnant me, a Banana Republic scarf $5, jewelry at Van-Heusen for $11 and a new shirt that can be worn pregnant for $5. Since I'm pregnant I only spent about $30 on me which is fine, its not fun shopping pregnant clothes, no sir. I got Adam new grey slacks for $10 at VanHeusen, 2 button up dress shirts for $40, some polos for $5, Old navy jeans that he loves for $6, Old Navy white and blue stripe button up for $6, and Banana Republic button ups for $10 each. I spent about $100 on him and got tons! The best kids stores were OsKosh and Gymboree! I bought 1 item that was $7 for D and that was because it was a lacrosse shirt I couldn't resist. Other than that most kid items were $1-$3. Yeah!
Pictures of Adam below, kid stuff is all sorted and boxed.

Do Da Stuff
Adam has been a huge help and really stepped up to help me. Many nights he stays up late, after I go to bed by 9:30pm, to clean house. He is a stud! And the truth is I just can't do it right now! Bless him for being so willing to help me when I know he is tired after his work day too. To my daughters, marry a man like your Daddy!
I have been feeling better nausea wise for the past two weeks however I am cramping a lot. No spotting or issues with it to be worried about. I wonder if I had this with the other kids and just don't remember? It really hurts and wears me out. Add seasonal allergies to pregnant stuff and I'm worn out by dinner pretty much every day.
Our flowers are coming in nice this year! Yeah! The hard work from last year paid off.
Our garden is planted and has been since the end of April. We did loose our peppers and cucumbers in a frost even though we covered them, bummer! It's ok we replaced them. We are hoping for a great garden this year.
The kids are so big and fun!
This week is my last week of preschool and the program is this Friday night. I hope it really is as cute as it is in my mind.

Living in the moment!
Sometimes instead of completing one of the many items on my to do list, or since I'm pregnant just taking a nap, I decide to live in the moment with my kids. I try hard to do this as often as I can but lately since I have been sick this pregnancy, I haven't done well.
My living in the moment today was making cookies! Dayton asked nicely if we could make cookies and after debating for a good 10 minutes if I wanted all those dishes to do and that mess to clean up I said, "yes!" Who cares about more dishes? Mine aren't ever done lately anyway, ha!
So we made cookies together and Rachel helped, until she melted down and needed her nap. And you know what.... The mess was so worth the happy son I had! :) Even if my energy was used for baking and I don't get my "to do" list done , it is okay. I think my children will be blessed and have happy memories of the times when I lived in the moment. They won't remember if the toilets were sparkly or if the dishes were always done. They will remember being together and their mother loving them. I hope to always have a clear perspective of what is really important in life. So, if you visit today, my house will be a wreck but you can have homemade chocolate chip cookies. :)

All Natural!
Look at these curls! They are so hard to photograph since she doesn't sit still but they are perfect ringlets! Everyone always compliments on how darling her hair is and I agree.

FHE
I love that my children know what family night is and they get excited about it when I say, "guess what tonight is? Family night!" I know this wont last forever. I'm grateful for it though because it tells me we are doing something right. They even run to the front room and sit down when we sing the family night song. It's awesome!
Mothers Day
The best Mothers Day gift! My kids playing nicely on a Sunday morning, doing puzzles together.
I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Adam was very thoughtful and gave me 4 beautiful cards, all posted below. One from himself, both of the kids, and the soon to be baby in 6 months. Plus he got me delicious Lindor balls, cookies and creme flavor. Mmmmm! I had to restrain myself not to eat the whole bag yesterday. When I woke up the kids played puzzles, with little fighting, together. Adam made me pancakes which I ate in bed. We took our time getting ready for the day and heading to church. I got to go to all 3 of my meetings and listen! Wow, it was so nice! After church we got to call my brothers Joe and Nate who are on missions. I loved hearing from them and both of them gave me a hard time about having a baby without them here. Ha! It is all in the Lord's time, that's what I say. Needless to say the day was lovely, including early bed time for the kids. And although my house was and is still a TOTAL wreck I didn't mind. I am learning that it is always a mess and will always be a mess as long as I have small children. Ha!Enjoy the pictures....
From Rachel
From Adam
From baby #3
From Dayton (he picked this all by himself, how fitting)
Look, he wrote his own name and Mom on the envelope.
I painted Rachel's toes for the first time! It was fun and she liked it.
Snuggly Mom time! Awww! She won't be my baby much longer.
Of course a Happy Mothers Day to my Mom and Sue. What wonderful women they are in my life. They are people I can call for anything and people I can always count on to help me out. Thanks to my Mom for carrying me and bringing me into the world. Having your own kids sure does make you appreciate your own Mother that much more!

Sick baby
Bummer, rach has had a fever for 2 days now and just doesn't feel good. I can tell because she wants to be held, all the time, which is rare for her. She woke up today sounding awful! I wonder if its just allergies or a sore throat. Until then, we are snuggling and reading lots of books!

Have I mentioned...
How much this little girl loves smarties? She knows the cupboard that I keep them in and she has learned that if he stands under it and signs "please" by rubbing her chest in a circle she gets some. It is darling!
Have I also mentioned how much she loves icecream? Dayton has never really loved ice cream he prefers potato chips but Rach snarfs it down. Grandpa Day always spoils her with it when he has some to get on her good side. She definitely loves her sweets! I guess her name is Rachel Trudy... My mom loves sweets and always bakes. I have fond memories of that as a child.

Big boy bike!
Monday night for FHE we got D a big boy bike. We have one in our garage that was given to us by a neighbor over a year ago that has flat tires. We called around on pricing for new tires and it was $15 a tire plus the tube, totaling $40 just to fix the hand me down bike. That seems so crazy to me! So, when I saw these brand new ones in front of Walmart for $39.95 I let D try one out. He instantly rocked at riding it and loves it! The truth is he has been asking for a big bike or his flat tires to be fixed since last summer. So, we did it, we finally spent the money and I'm so glad we did! This little boy has been in heaven ever since. All he wants to do is ride his bike!
These pictures aren't very good ones I took the from the car when he first got it. I'll post more later.
