10 year anniversary celebration

We got away to celebrate this weekend. It’s 3 weeks early but it’s when we could get sitters. Uncle Nate and Alex are with the kids. It’s been such a nice weekend together.

We started Friday and went shopping at Old Navy in Logan then headed to HuHot for lunch. It was nice to eat and talk and be together. Then we headed on an adventure through the mountains from Avon in Cache Valley over to Eden in Ogden Valley. It was a pretty drive and new adventure. It was fun to explore together and a nice drive with great views!

We got checked into our condo in Eden about 4pm. Once checking it out we headed to Park City to shop the outlets. We hit Gymboree and the Levi store. We got Adam three new pairs of 511’s which were on sale for $30 a pair. Score!!! Tycially levis are $70-$100 so that was awesome. He loves 511’s and needs new pants. After shopping we stopped for late dinner at Taco Bell and drove back to the condo for hot tubing. It was 9:30pm by the time we made it to the hot tub but it was so nice to soak. Then it was bedtime. We both crashed hard!!!

Saturday we slept in. We snuggled and kissed and enjoyed being us alone. It was awesome! You don’t realize how much you don’t get to relax and talk and just do nothing until you get no kids. I mean really I feel old. What we chose to do to celebrate our marriage of 10 years is be together away in peace and quiet, just to relax, and binge watch Netflix. We enjoyed a nice walk in the morning. We saw a hobbit house out walking too, how creative. Then we watched Flash together most the day. After a quiet lunch together we had a power nap and watched more Netflix. Then we headed out for early dinner at Ogden Valley Smokehouse. It was so so yummy!!! Adam was getting a migraine so we ate quick then headed back for more resting before we hit the hot tub again.

After the hot tub we hit Maverick for treats. I had a key lime sugar cookie and some Fresca. I don’t love carbonation so Adam finished it. Adam got hint of lime chips and a big Mt. Dew. It’s fun to get special treats even doing weight watchers I was good all day so can enjoy a treat.

On Sunday we slept in more. I don’t really sleep in that long but even 8am is nice. As a mom of four small kids we take what we can get. We enjoyed a small breakfast in bed. Then we played mini golf outside the condo. The complex had a small course that was fun to play together. There is no snow yet so it worked out well. We checked out of the condo at 11am and headed home. Slowly, we took our time for a nice drive before heading back to the madness. Plus it’s Rachel’s birthday today, the 26th, she is 6. It’s Trudy’s birthday too so we got to head home to celebrations. What a fun fun weekend.

Adam I love you! Ten years has been a wild ride with lots of ups and downs. Four babies, health issues, three houses, three college degrees, multiple jobs, starting my own business, tons of family vacations, camping trips, Disneyland and many more memories. I can’t imagine life without you. I love you so much! You are my rock, my foundation, the leader of our family, the best Dad our kids could ask for, and a great singer. I hope we have many many more years to come living happily ever after.

Grandpa Davee Turns 60!

Today we had a birthday for Davee too. Breezy put it on and did great. She made a cute video of all the grandkids answering questions about grandpa. Like what does Grandpa do for a living? I think pretty much every grand kid said fixes things. She also asked what kind of animal grandpa is as strong as? Carter said a cow, D said a killer beaver, Rachel said a tiger. The whole video was so cute. It’s fun to get together with cousins too. The kids loved the photo booth and Vivian loved the silver streamers. She played with them forever! Happy Birthday Dad! You are soft hearted, kind, a good listener and love your family. Way to make it to 60!

Rachel’s Friend Party

It was a Girl party!! We did hair and nails! The girls loved the makeup cake! I did too! We had presents and Shopkins bingo. Can I just say how fun it was to spoil and play with these girls? It was a blast! Aunt Sara came to help too which was so nice of her. She is a fun Aunt. Rach was beaming, it was finally her turn to get spoiled, and it made me happy!

We are thankful...

At FHE we talked about being thankful. Everyone did a turkey, I had to share them here.
