Job Update

Yesterday we got news that the staff accountant position at the bank in Layton had been filled. We are a bit bummed about it and Adam feels that he is not hirable with all the recent declines he has gotten but we are moving forward. Yesterday Adam interviewed for another part time job that he could do at nights, financial planning here in Logan. So if this works out the good thing is that we could stay in Logan with the scouts, which was a concern with moving to Layton, and this is something he can do while still staying at Zions and that doesn't require lots of hours but it will give him good experience. We are crossing our fingers for the best!
If any of you hear of a job that would provide Adam with experience in the finance field let us know. Especially if it is in Logan and is something he can do through his masters program which he will start in the Fall.
Also we wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!!!!! Party on tonight!

A weekend with the family and a late Christmas!

We recently got home from St. George where we visited Davee, Raven, Seth, and Jess. Dad took us to Zions National Park on Saturday and as you can see it was beautiful in the winter. I guess there has been a lot of snow up there this year compared to normal. Dad brought his camera up to take some amazing pictures, which he did! He does have an eye for photography.
Just after I told the boys to start walking on the fluffy snow on the side of the trail so they didn't fall Davee slipped. He was carrying his camera over his shoulder which he saved by holding it up and he did it gracefully. All the pathways were packed with snow because of all the tourists there. So I played it safe by walking in the snow but of course the boys tried to be tough. Now Dad has a bruised hip and I'm sure it's no fun. But I did have a good laugh about his oops!

I love this picture of Adam with Dad. It was sure nice to spend time with him.
We also went out to dinner at Texas Road House for our first time. Man, it was so yummy! They bring you a bucket of peanuts that you get to eat and then trow the shells on the floor. They also had delicious warm rolls with cinnomin butter. Our waitress was so nice and the food was to die for. I ate my whole plate which is a record for me. I was proud!

We stayed all day Saturday and Sunday in St. George and left Monday morning to make it to Provo for Christmas with the Chandlers at Josh and Janae's house. We gave Mom and awesome USU sweatshirt and Josh a Rummikub. Ainsley is getting big and although she wasn't very happy that day she was still cute. Everyone was there Josh, Janae, Ainsley, Mom, Breezy, her boyfriend Matt, and us! It was nice to spend time with the family living in Logan does make it hard to visit often.

It was a Merry Christmas after all!

In breif summary we had a nice morning together just the two of us exchanging presents and drinking hot chocolate. Then we went to the Days house to exchange more presents with siblings and Mom and Dad. In summary this is what we got...
Adam got Kung Fu Panda which he has been wanting forever from McCord.

I got the movie 27 dresses which I have wanted forever from Nathan. Nice choice Nate I have already watched it!

Adam got a printer from my parents. As you can tell in this picture he loved it! He kept hugging the printer and saying "Yes, now we don't have to go to Stokes to print things."
I got Adam at CTR ring since his old one broke this year.
And I got him a fish tank which he has been begging me to get for 2 months now. I decided since it is my fault, due to allergies, that we can't get a dog that I better support the fish tank. Which I am actually excited about since we are also getting frogs.
And our surprise to ourselves was Wicked tickets. The show is not til April and we bought them in October but it was part of our Christmas.
This jewlery armoire is what was in that huge box and yes it is about 4.5 ft tall. It is beautiful though! Adam said, "Now I'm going to have to start buying you jewlery." I have no problem with that but when he saw how full this was after I had taken all my jewlery out of ziplocks and the small jewlery box I had he was surprised. He said, "Wow, I didn't know you had that much jewlery." It's true though it's almost full and I do love it.
Mom and Dad gave us a video camera. It is so tiny and we were both surprised to get this. We will use it.Adam got me two pairs of earings that are sterling silver of course. They are light blue but you can't really tell in the picture.Mom and Dad also got me two pairs of slacks for student teaching in two weeks. A tan pair and dark brown pair. I am thrilled about these they fit nice and are real dressy.
NOW FOR WHAT WE GAVE:

As many of you know Adam and I are parents of 4 or at least it feels like that many times. We love this darling family that we get to help out a lot. We gave Jose chutes and ladders, Roberto (not pictures) yahtzee, and Angelica and Vanessa clothes which they are wearing in this picture. We had them over on the 23rd to open presents. The little kids also gave me Christmas tree ornaments that they made. I was able to get then coats at the Bishops store house and some ward members donated hats and gloves. For all of you who donated money for us to help this family, THANK YOU! The presents were all wrapped and put in Santas bag on Christmas Eve and then Santa made a visit to the Molina home and gave them all the presents. The children loved them all. I will post pictures of what was gifted later. But know that you gave them not only things that were very needed but also a happy Christmas together.

I drew Lisa's name and since she is going to be teaching English in Germany real soon I got her dress pants.Adam drew McCords name and got him Yahtzee a game everyone love, right? They can play this in Germany too.
This past fall we got family pictures taken for Moms birthday and so I framed my favorite one and gave that to her.And we got Dad nike gym pants. Since is dilligently goes to the gym he needs a new pair.It was a nice Christmas and a wondeful time of year to remember Christ as well. Christmas Eve we spent with the Davis's. Steve cooked a yummy dinner and they also gave us gifts. We love you guys! Today the 26th we are headed down to St. George to see Davee and the family. We will be there until Monday which is when we will do Christmas with the Chandlers. Yes still more presents to come. We are spoiled.
We love you all and are grateful for a wonderful family. We are so blessed to have each of you in our lives and to also be surrounded by good friends and neighbors. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday.

We have been busy!

My sister Lisa and her husband McCord have been living with us for 5 days now until they move to Germany after Christmas. I love having my sister here so we can do lots of fun things together. Just this week we went to down east outfitters and filled a bag for $10! I filled a bag and a half and got 3 dresses, 1 skirt, 6 new cami's, 5 new shirts, some jewlery, 2 pairs of flip flops, and 2 pairs of american eagle jeans. Plus I got some stuff for Angelica who will love her new clothes. It was a steal of a deal. Mom, Lisa, and I all went and we had a blast together. It was a good use of birthday money. Although McCord works almost every day he still made time to do my dishes, awwww! Yes it was very nice after I cam home from work at 8pm and my sink was empty. Thank you Mac!Here at the Chandler home we are getting more and more excited for Christmas. Today I went to my Moms house and helped her with some Christmas surprises, not mine of course. Yesterday Adam and Steve carried this into the apartment and as you can see it doesn't even fit under the tree. Ya, this is my present from Adam and I REALLY want to peak while he is gone to work but I guess I will resist. He is pretty excited about whatever is in that box. Also Adam recieved a phone call from a bank in Layton who wanted to interview him for a Staff Accountant position. We went down yesterday for his interview which went well. We should know if he gets the job next week. It was a surprise that they called us because he didn't even apply they got his name from campus and wanted to interview him. We will keep you posted.

While we were in Layton we stopped at the going out of business sale at Mervyns and got 3 sets of sheets for 80% off, towels for $3 each, and 4 dress shirts for Adam each averaged $10. So we were glad we stopped and Adam looks sharp in his new shirts.

We wish you all well, especially this time of year, and lots of joy and happiness!

Temple Square!

For our anniversary I really wanted to go to Temple Square, afterall we did get married in the Salt Lake Temple. It was beautiful as always and packed too. We loved being there together and seeing the many kinds of nativities and lights. There is also a quote a took a picture of that touched my heart as I read it, especially this time of year. Adam also pulled a hopeless romantic by pulling a wrapped present out of his pocket for me. It was a heart pendant on a necklace chain, awww. He is a sweetie.

If you get a chance you definately need to go to see the lights. Merry Christmas!

Celebration! Graduation, Angie's Birthday and ONE YEAR Anniversary TODAY!

Where to begin? We've had much to celebrate in these past two days and it's been fun! For one Adam is officially graduated! Yeah! I don't have pictures because he chose not to walk. Hats off to him though it is a big accomplishment. Second I had a birthday on the 13th and I am now 21 years old. Yeah! And third we have now been married for ONE WHOLE YEAR!!!! YEAH! So it's a party at the Chandler home that's for sure. Here are some pictures of the awesome theme room we stayed at on Friday night to celebrate our one year a bit early so we could be home for Sunday. It was at the Black Swan Inn in Pocatello the Romeo and Juliet room. This is the outside of the Inn, pretty cute.
The heart shaped tub with this gargoil filling it up.

There were lots of beautiful murals on the walls. This isn't just wallpaper folks.

The bed was upstairs on this balcony that Adam is standing on. I'm telling you it was creative.

And our laugh for the night was when we opened up this door, the Throne Room.

It was a really nice get away where we just got to relax and not worry about anything. We drove home on my Birthday, Saturday and then had a party at my Mom's because our apartment wouldn't fit everyone. Here are some pictures. And just so you know Adam, sweet Adam, made my birthday cake from scratch by himself. Yes, it turned out yummy! So good job hunny!

The cake and song. And would you please notice Jared's hat, yuck! Guess what he wears it to school and kids like it. Ewww, but I bet the girls think he's a dork.

And Makenna wore the nasty hat as well!

So it was a good day and mostly everyone came like Clint, Kaitlan, Steve, Christa, Lisa, Cord, Mom, Dad, Jared, Joe, Nate, and Jake. I did miss the Chandlers though but they couldn't make it up because of finals etc.

This is Adam posting:
Happy Birthday to my wonderful wife Angie!! Yesterday was her 21st birthday which we celebrated with family and friends. It's amazing to think that we have been together for a year now and that it's possible for me to love her more now than ever before. She truely is a blessing in my life and helps me in so many way. I'm so thankful to have her as my eternal companion.
