Thanksgiving!

Decorating the Tree!

Today the kids decorated the tree. Other than me helping put the tiny silver poky hooks on the breakable ornaments they did it all by themselves. They had fun! You can tell they loved it and by the lopsided-ness of the ornaments that they put them up. Ha!

Love these kids. Can't believe Chritmas is right around the corner. 

Rachel's Birthday Party

We tried a new place called wiggle worms play land for Rachel's birthday. It was a very mini version of the Children's Museum in Salt Lake. It was fun! We knew everything would be closed on her actual birthday since it fell on Thanksgiving this year so we had a fun party the day before. Plus our neighbor who is Rachel's age, Greadon, got to come! 

Kinder Gym

The kids both did a 10 week session of gymnastics taught once a week here in Mendon by Trina Apendaile in her home. The both LOVED it!!!!

Here are their skill sheets from the first session. After just 10 weeks I am totally impressed! Rachel was the very youngest in her class and D started a couple weeks late too.

We got to go watch their skills for parents day this past Monday and it was so fun! I love watching my kids grow up!

Rachel's Birthday at Preschool!

We spent lots of time the day before making cupcakes with purple frosting and sprinkles.

Rachel carefully places every single sprinkle! 

She really took her time. I love that about her! She likes thing just so, a quality that will bless her in school and being a mom.

Since her birthday is on Thansgiving this year she got to bring her cupcakes to preschool on the thanksgiving feast day! She was beaming!  

I can't believe she is turning 4 on thanksgiving! Wow! 

Prizes from the Grandma Raven box

Rach picked this from Grandma Raven's box after Grandpa's bday party yesterday. The boys all got something to keep too. Rach and I have spent all morning making creations! She is just a little crafter! Love her! Thanks Raven! 

Grandpa Chandler's birthday

Posted late but these pictures need to be blogged!

The kids each made grandpa a card! They loved gifting them to him. We had a party at his house with pizza and cake and it was so nice!

Parent Portraits

Drawn by Rachel and hung above our bed. I especially like that the drawing of Adam is on his side of the bed and mine is above my side. How observant kids are! Also, love my hair!

Carter turns 2!

Carter turned 2!
He got balloons which he loved! Rachel and Dayton both picked out a present for him too. Bath boats and silly string. Mom and Dad got him a fun car track with police cars. He is really into cars and balls right now.

Mom can't believe my baby is 2! Where did the time go?

For his party we had cupcakes, with bright red frosting, maybe not the best choice. Ha! They stained everything. Then we headed to the Jump Zone for fun together. Grandma and Grandpa Day met us there and gave Carter his gift, the wooden peg game. He liked it, very age appropriate.

HE READS!

This kid was reading small beginning reader books this past summer. Now he is excelling even more! I mean without any help! He brings home those little bag books and blows them out of the water on his own in one 20 minute reading session. He loves it and feels so proud and smart! He is all about moving on to a new book and feels accomplished getting signed off. YEAH DAYTON! To top it all off he is sounding out words and writing them down on his own. He is spelling and actually does really well most the time. English is hard with lots of tricky rules but seriously, this kid is AMAZING!
