I feel so blessed this year! Although this year has brought many challenges like Adam's masters program, me teaching 5th grade and trying to be Mom, quiting teaching which was a hard decision, having Dayton, owning a home, finishing and renting our basement, and participating in church callings Adam in YM and I teach relief society it has also brought many joys! We have been so so so blessed to be so successful at our age with a home, a baby, two nice working vehicles, both of us have college degree's, and having wonderful families. I am so grateful and we feel so loved this year!
Note to Dayton:
Dayton I love you so so so much more than you will ever know. Your Dad and I are so grateful that you have joined our family and I am so excited to be home with you and watch you grow. You are a bright boy and very cheerful. I LOVE YOU!

December 26th Chandler Christmas
We went down to Mama Sue's apartment around noon on the 26th for breakfast of german pancakes. Mama Sue made yummy pancakes and we just hung out with Bug and Mat there too. At 4:00 we went to Bug's house in Orem and had dinner and presents with Josh, Janae, Ainslie, and Evelyn too! It was so fun! As always we had as seen on TY gifts from Sue. I love doing this it is so funny! We got a perfect brownie slicer and snuggie. :)
We gave:
Mom= dish towles and rags and Happiness is book of Dayton
Angie to Bug= 3 scrapbooks
Adam to Janae= 2 photo albums

We had fun together and the kids all loved playing together too! It is so fun for Dayton to have cousins. :)

Dayton is a walking pro!
I can't remember if I have posted about this but Dayton is walking! He took his first steps at 8 1/2 months. Now at 9 1/2 he is doing awesome! He can even bend down and pick something up then stand back up, he can turn, and walk quickly now too! I had to post these pictures because I love them so much!

Christmas Day
I have about a hundred pictures of Christmas but I am only going to post a few. I think I am going to make a Christmas 2010 photo book from Inkley's since I need to use my $20 for December anyway. Plus uploading all those pictures would take all day and Dayton is waking from is nap.
This Christmas was a special one for us! After cleaning up from our basement flooding, AGAIN, and spending every last penny plus some of the savings we had, it really helped us reflect on life and what really matters. It isn't the money, toys, and fancy gifts but our families and each other. I think that having all the craziness with the basement starting the 20th until the 23rd really made us grateful for life settling down a bit in our near future. I get to stay home and Adam is done with school now so he is just going to work. We get to be a family with a lot less STUFF in the way. Now, I'm not saying life will stop and be perfect, it won't. I expect if anything it'll seem to speed up as Dayton gets older but for now I am so grateful for my family and the love we share. This Christmas family has really been on my mind. I am grateful for our Savior who sacrificed for us so we can repent and be together forever.
Christmas morning was spent at our house.Santa brought Dayton a See n'Say which he loved. We got Dayton cups that stack into a tower and then in the biggest one shapes fit into it. He liked this one too! Funny thing is that his favorite toy was his toothbrush in his stocking. :) I got clothes and another lense for my camera. Adam got new shirts, dress slacks, and his painting of Jesus that is on canvas from El Salvador (off his mission) stretched on wood frame so we can hang it. That was his big surprise and he loved it!
At 10am we went to The Day's house to call my brother Jared in Chile. He was so excited and couldn't talk about anything but the work and baptisms. He is loving his mission! Pictures below.

After talking to Jared we opened gifts as a family! Dayton love the balls in the can, his cars on a twisty track and little people farm set from Grandma and Grandpa.

The best gift we gave was a photo book that I made of Dayton called "Happiness is..." Mom and Dad loved it!

Christmas Night WE NOTICED DAYTON'S FIRST TOOTH ON THE BOTTOM LEFT HAS COME THROUGH! Yeah! Maybe this explains the fevers, not sleeping at night, whining all the time, and constant runny nose.
I will post about our Christmas with the Chandler family on the 26th later.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Eve!
On Christmas Eve we spent the night together and opened our pj's! Then we headed to my parents for lots of food, that I didn't have to make, and Christmas movies. It was so fun to just be together and not have to run to this party and that. My grandparents moved their Christmas Eve party to the Tuesday before Christmas and although it was kinda weird having it that early I did love not traveling on Christmas Eve. Oh and Christmas was SO MUCH MORE FUN WITH DAYTON!

P.S. The dog in the picture is our shitzu, Max, we bought him just about a week ago for my brother Nate for Christmas. He has always wanted a puppy and since my family is allergic a shitzu is about the only one they can have. Anyway, to our frustration even after talking to my parents and them okaying it Joe (allergic brother) said he reacted to Max. He was around him for about 3 hours and seemed fine to me but he said his eyes were itchy. Lame, I think he would have gotten used to Max really fast just like I have (I'm really allergic to dogs too) but because of that the final decision from Dad was no! So now we have a shitzu and Dayton loves him! He actually is a really nice dog, 4 yrs old. So much for my would have been awesome Christmas surprise. :( Sorry Nate, I tried!

SURPRISE!!!
Life has been so bizzar and crazy! 2 weeks ago our malamute dog Taya had pups. Here is the story.
In the middle of the night I heard the dogs howling, which rarely happens. I woke Adam to go check on them and see if they were ok. He grumbiling rolled over and said, "Their fine," and went back to sleep. About an hour later I was still hearing them. My first thought was, "Great, Tika (Adam's childhood dog who is old) is dead!" I woke Adam again and told him I thought something was really wrong. Once again he rolled over and ignored me not wanting to leave his warm comfy bed. So in the morning about 7am when I was leaving for work I went outside and only saw Tika out of the dog house waiting to be fed. THIS WAS UNUSUAL! Taya is always jumping up and going bazerk when it is time to be fed. So I ran in and said, "Adam get out of bed, I really think there is something wrong with Taya." So he finally did. He put on his boots and tromped outside. Not long after he came running into the house to get a flashlight and said, "I think Taya gave birth!" I responded with, "What! Gave birth to what? She is in a kennel and Tika is a girl." So I followed him out to the dog kennel and sure enough 4 whining pups and one dead frozen in the snow. We immediately brought them inside the house and they have been in the basement storage room since December 7th when they were born. Having Taya in the house has NOT been a pleasant experience she is big, scratches at the door, whines, and at one point even tore into a bag of cement we had downstair and made a huge mess. Well I am happy to say that as of yesterday, since the pups have opened their eyes and are significantly bigger they are outside. Yeah! And yes, we are upset about some black mut getting to her, GRRRR!
So if anyone wants a pup in a month please let us know. 2 boys and 2 girls but 1 boy is alread taken. Wow, what an expereience! Oh and for all of you thinking that we are so dumb for not knowing she was pregnant just let me say we got her at 9 months and have only had her for 5 months so we just thought she was growing. She looks skinnier now but this sure explains her ravaging to eat.

23rd birthday and 3 years anniversary!
The 13th was my birthday! I had a nice day. Sunday we had a b-day party at our house with cinnamon cake and ice cream, yum! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa, Sue, Breezy and my family for coming. I got How to Train your Dragon from my brothers and my favortie, kettle corn. So after work on my real birthday we watched the movie together. Also mom and dad were so thoughtful and got me a cute black cardigan, FHE videos and mom made me a scarf. Adam also got me a cute sweater from aeropostale.
Then as you know the 14th is our anniversary and it was our 3 year! It was so nice to get a sitter and just go to dinner together. We were going to do sealing as a reminder but we were too late. Come to find out they stop sealing at 7pm and we showed up just after that. Oh well we will have to go another time. I got Adam some dange nice slacks and a new button up shirt. He totally trumped my gift and got me a NIKON 3100 camera with 2 lenses and 6 free classes about how to use it! I LOVE THE CAMERA! IT TAKES MUCH NICER PICTURES! I know I will use it for a long time especially with Dayton!
I am so happy to be married to Adam. I love him so so so much! I can't believe it has been 3 years. We have grown together and accomplished a lot. I graduated, he got his bachelors and masters degree, I got a teaching job, we bought a house, grew our first garden, and had a baby. I know that Adam makes me a better person and I am so happy we are together forever!

The first cut and Dayton at 9 months!

Just yesterday Dayton got his first cut. He was walking at Grandma's while she was decorating her house and fell on the ladder. Mom said he cried lots and was mad! I know this is just the first of hundreds. Little boys always have bonks and bruises.
Dayton is 9 months now. Here are things about him!
1. HE WALKS! EVERYWHERE! He took his first steps at 8 1/2 months and started walking when he was 8 months. Now at 9 months he is a pro! He can even turn around while standing.
2. He loves grated cheese and yogurt!
3. He still loves cherrios!
4. He is a Momma's boy. He always wants me to hold him and play with him.
5. He is now in a forward facing carseat which he loves much better than the baby seat. He likes being able to see where we are going and look out the windows.
6. He loves the dogs and gets excited anytime he sees them.
7. He loves any kid that looks to be his size. He is a social bug!
8. He loves reading stories although we are lucky if we make it through one before he looses interest.
9. After getting better from his ear infections I started making him scream to sleep again. It was three painful nights of 1-2 hours of screaming but now he only cries for about 1 minute and then goes to sleep. He has slept through the night for a whole week now. Yeah!
10. He loves being outside even in the cold and snow.
11. Dayton is tall and has strong chunky legs.
12. He is generally happy and smiling.
13. He does not have any teeth!
14. He chews on everything and anything he comes across.
15. He loves exploring around the house now that he can walk.
We sure love our sweet boy!
More posts to come, I am way behind!

Happy Birthday to Dad and Mom!
Yesterday was my Dad's birthday. I just had to post about his old age. :) Happy Birthday Dad we love you so much!
My Mom's birthday was last week, November 26th! For her birthday we went to Poppin Pins bowling alley in Preston. Our family goes there about twice a year just for fun. It is way cheap to bowl and the fries are to die for! Anyway, I don't go bowling often so the first two rounds I got gutters. Boo, lame, stinky! I was bummed. Adam and my Dad were giving me pointers and saying that my hips were in the way, I'm thinking, "Well yah! I know that guys. I walk around with these wide babies every day, duh!" So I was trying to have good form and move my hips to the side like they were saying but it was not working. Grumble grumble!
Well then Adam said to me, "Ang, just have fun and do what you always do." So I did and right after that I got a strike. Yeah! Then my next turn I lucked out and got another strike. I just did what I normally do and I was feeling pretty happy. My fifth turn I bowled ANOTHER strike, yup! THREE!!! Cool right! I was so thrilled but had no idea what I was doing to get strikes. So I bowled again and got another STRIKE!!! Boom baby! FOUR! So after 4 strikes I was thinking, "What in the world, this never happens to me." You know with all my bowling experience I have.... um ya right. Then guess what I got the next time, remember 4 strikes came before this, the pressure was on. Well I got a little nervouse, overwhelmed, and I was a bit on the spot with everyone staring at me just waiting to see what I bowled this round. Well I tried my best and....
got another STRIKE!!!! Boom! Heck ya! I was feeling so excited! FIVE STRIKES!!! I am seriously thinking of taking up bowling or joining a bowling league. I guess it is my hidden talent.
Well sorry to blab about it but I felt that a 5 strike bowling game was blog worthy!

Great News!
Good news on our end Adam has a salary offer from Allred Jackson and we are THRILLED! He will be making as much as we both make now. I am so glad because now I can take this opportunity to stop teaching and be home with my cute little boy. I have missed him so and even more than him I have missed myself. Too much stress, no time to take care of myself, and constant work to do on top of wife and motherly duties equals an unhappy Angie. So that is our big news, we will keep you posted.
We are so so so grateful and blessed!
