New Years Eve Bowling

We went bowling at Logan lanes on New Years Eve with my brothers and Grandma and Papa Day. Dayton and Rachel loved it! Rachel stood to the side and watched the ball roll and then would clap and grin ear to ear when the pins were knocked down. Dayton bowled with me and had bumpers. He bowled a 118 and wanted to carry the ball over to the lane every time. He is very independent now, or he wants to be. :) It was fun! The best past about this year was that the kids and I went to bed on time. It was so nice!

Love You

This year has been a great one for us! I just wanted to make a last and final post to 2012! We have been so blessed and guided to sell our old house, get into our current home, for my preschool to do well, with Adam's new job that he loves, and to be parents of our two beautiful kids. We could not be happier together! Although the hard days come, and they are totally normal, Adam and I find ourselves talking about how blessed and guided we have been this year often.

Just a note to my kids because I always like to do this.... I LOVE YOU! I hope that reading this blog book when you are older will make you laugh, maybe even cry, help you see how real life was for us, and most of all that it helps you realize just how much I love you! Or should I say how much Dad and I love you! That is why I keep this blog in hopes that one day you will be able to read it and appreciate it.

Grandpa Chandler and Elk

Grandpa Chandler came up and spent the night for the first time at our new house. We have lived here six months and he hasn't seen our house yet, so we were thrilled to have him. He stayed and played all day with us and the rest of the family. We decided to go to Hardware Ranch which is just up Hyrum Canyon. It was beautiful weather and there were lots of elk, over 400 the man said. Rachel was thrilled about the elk. She tried very hard to walk off the sleigh ride to pet them many times. Dayton on the other hand just wanted to look. Here are the many pictures I took.

After Hardware Ranch we got take out from Cafe Rio and ate at our house while the adults visited and the kids loved Grandpa and played together. They each got to open a gift from Grandpa too. Dayton got a spider-man flashlight and the little sponge animals that grow in water. Rachel got a darling board book with slide out pictures. A genius idea to whoever made slideout panels instead of pop up they are much more durable.  It was so nice to see Davee! Thanks Davee for making the long drive.

Christmas with the Day Family

We had a totally awesome Christmas with 3 Grand kids this year! It was fun! Rachel got a little monkey in a car that automatically goes when you set it down, brilliant design for infants. She loved that toy! Dayton got a Thomas the train matching game where you drive the train over the bridge of the color is says aloud. He also got a good fire station and he played with the race track a lot with his Uncles. All the Grand kids got snow hats too! The best gift this year was my HUGE, beautiful temple picture. I LOVE it! Adam LOVED his X-box game from Cord and his shoes from my parents. I was pretty excited about a new tent, ours broke this last summer and my rice cooker from Jared. We gave Mom "Melt" balls for her feet and a shade awning (from all the kids) for our hot Bear Lake trips. We got Dad a projector (from all the kids) and then socks and handkerchiefs. Adam gifted Jared tools and towels both great things for a single college guy, right? I got Lisa lots of Rubbermaid tupperware and a dress. Pictures of all the fun and gift giving below.

 Mom made us all aprons with prints that she thought were fitting for our personalities. Cord's had flags, Adam's had dogs, Nate's was stripes, mine and Lisa's were girly. Jared's apron was.... well.... see for yourself. Yup, cow print... inside I died laughing.

We halted presents to talk to Elder Day in Argentina  We miss him and love him but he sounded so good! To me he sounded better than in May, much happier and successful. Just notice everyone's faces talking to him. Dayton sang Jingle Bells to Joe very loud and clear. I was so proud!

 Then after calling Joe it was back to gifts, toys. and playing together!

 The kids opening and wearing their hats! Too bad D's was too small and they did not have a bigger size because the zebra print was fun. Oh well, my kids have huge heads so we traded his for a sweater. That is okay, Rachel's is darling!

It was a very Merry Christmas! I am grateful I have so many loves ones and great family members to spend it with!
