We are moved in!

We just love being home owners. It has been so fun to pick out paint, pick out new light fixtures, and buy all the little things you need to spruce things up. Adam has been the nest husband ever. One night he stayed up til 3am setting up the basement and unpacking. I had fallen asleep ling before that but woke up at 3 am to such a nice surprise. He is such a hard worker and so excited for our home and baby.

I am now 4 months! My last check up I lost 2.5 lbs. I feel pretty good about it, it's a real self esteem booster for a pregnant lady. Anyway the doctor said it is fine. We find out if we are having a boy or girl on October 21. Yeah!

Today my brother Jared went through the temple. It was so special! Me, Adam, Lisa, Cord, mom, and dad were all there. It was nice to step out of busy life into the peace of the temple. We are so proud of Jared and excited for him to serve in Chile.

School is great. I love teaching! Adam is sick of school already but he keeps doing his best. I will post pictures of the house in a couple weeks when we are a bit more put together.

House and Tummies!

Here is the house! Please realize that it is foreclosed so the yard is a mess! We will fix it up. It sits on .62 acres and is 2905 sq ft. We love it and can't wait to have our own house.

This is me late at night so don't mind that I look sloppy. Anyway I'm 31/2 months and showing. Ya, I know? Well I am short so I can't complain. I am just happy to be having a baby.

Also on Saturday Adam and I went on a 3 mile walk up the canyon. I wish I could say hike but we both wore flip flops so it can hardly pass for a hike. It was so pretty and quiet up there. We really liked spending some non-stress time together.

Mrs. Chandler

The first week of school was so fun! I have a good group of kids this year and an awesome principal. All the teachers at the school are so kind and supportive too. It is nice to have my own classroom and decide what and how I want to do things on my own. The kids all seem to be enjoying school of course it if only the first week but I think I have lots who love learning.

Just some fun things.

I let the children bring a water bottle and keep it on their desk. Well I have been drinking Gatorade so I'm not nauseous and although I tried to hide it of course a kid noticed and said, "No fair, why do you get to have that and we don't?" I promptly said, "Because I'm the teacher and if you are going to continue to whine about it I will just say that you can't even have a water bottle so you make the choice." The class has been oh so content with their water bottles now.

Also I had one child write me a note and stick it in the mailbox that said, "Mrs. Chandler you are the nicest funnest teacher ever. I am so glad I'm in your class." I felt pretty good with that comment.

I also had the speech teacher walk down the hall while my kids were in the hall looking at a special earthquake display and they were dead silent. She came up to me and said, "I'm VERY impressed they are SO quiet." I thanked her and then I was honest and said, "I threatened them with their lives." She laughed because she is a mother of a fifth grader and knows how they can be.

I love teaching and love being Mrs. Chandler! It is so fun to get to do what I love each day.

We are schedualed to close on the house tomorrow, September 8, and we are going to be so so busy painting and moving this week. So until I have time again hope you are all loving life as we are!
