Bedding!!!!

This is the darling 13 piece crib set that I will be looking at so much for the next year or so! I got it on ebay, brand new. I am proud to say it was 1/4 the price I saw it selling at baby stores for. I love the animals and I especially love baby boy stuff in something other than blue. Anyway it should come in a week and I can't wait. Now we just need to get that pink stripped wallpaper off the walls in Dayton's room and paint it. Our plan is to get that done in November, we will see if we follow through.

We have some big things coming up in our family within the next few months.
1. Grandpa Barker is getting his knee replaced on November 2nd.
2. We have four birthdays to celebrate.
3. My brother Jared leaves on his mission on Dec. 9th.
4. Thanksgiving and family time!
5. Adam finishes his first semester of his masters program.
6. Our two year anniversary!
7. Christmas and...
8. Tax season!

We hope we make it out alive! Although we keep busy we are so grateful for our jobs, family, school, and our home! We are truely blessed!

Our Sweet Little Boy!

Here are two of the 4D ultrasound pictures. The one on the left is looking above his face so you can see the top of his nose and his body all folded up. Yes, that thing by his chest is a foot. The one on the right is a side picture of his face. I love it because if you look close you can see his little nose and lips. Ohhhh so cute! That is all I am posting for now. I will try to get some of the 3D pics posted later.

It's for sure a....

BOY!!!!!
The ultrasound tech was awesome and so good at what she does. He is a true boy and was not shy about it. We have many pictures plus ones in 4D. I love the 4D ones because you can see his little face. She said he is super wiggly and very active. His heart looks good, his brain looks good, and so do all his fingers and toes. I must say during the 15 minute ultra sound I fell in love with our little guy, I think Adam did too!

The ultrasound tech said I had no belly fat which made me feel good. She said that really helps get a clear picture. Yeah! I gained 4 lbs since my last appointment. Total in 5 months I have gained 10 lbs. Not to bad if I say so myself. Dr. Noorda said my tummy measured on the higher end of the average size at 5 months. In other words it's in the normal range but I carry it out front more. Everything else looks good! We are so thrilled!

Oh and a name, in case you wondered, is Dayton Taylor Chandler. Day for my maiden name after my brothers and Dad. Taylor is for Adam's side of the family it's his Mom's maiden name and Adam's middle name.

Ghost and Goblins!

Adam and I had one more little vacation down south before our life gets too busy with a baby and tax season. We went to the San Rafael Swell. It was so warm and fun! We found our own little camping spot, with no potty for the pregnant lady yes I am a trooper, and stayed Friday and Saturday night.
We went to the Black Dragon pictograph which is really red. It took us awhile to find it because apparently they changed the mile markers since the book we were using was written. Below are some cool pictographs. They were neat!

We also hiked Little Wild Horse Canyon. It got really narrow in parts and I even had to climb some fallen boulders bigger than me. My belly is not that big but when it comes to manuevering into cracks and up large rocks it was not so helpful. Needless to say the baby and I got some good exercise. A random lady we passed on the trail said, "Oh is your baby enjoying the hike?" It made me feel good that I look pregnant to a random stranger. She also said, "You hiked this? Good for you!" It made me feel special.

Goblin Valley was so neat! I remember going there as a kid and loving it and it was still cool for me now. We walked around for at least an hour and climbed many goblins. Leave it to Adam to find a rock that looked like a recliner!

Stay tuned for a baby update Wednesday when we find out the gender! :)

Hungry...

I'm sure hungry!!! My appetitite has really picked up lately. I need bigger snacks than usual but I don't really eat much more at meals. Is this normal?

We are still plugging along. I have parent teacher conferences this week and we don't have school Friday. This weekend we will be going to Moab. I am so excited to get away! Yeah!

That's all for us right now.

Ball games and baby!

Here is the lovely belly at 4 1/2 months! I know it is getting big huh? But I still think I can pass for the "cute belly" look. I'm feeling really good and have only gained 6 lbs so far. On October 21st we find out what we are having. If you would like make your prediction, BOY or GIRL?

Adam has been playing on his work softball team for the past couple of weeks. Last week he hit a home run! Atta boy! He has fun playing and their team is actually pretty good too. I watched both of his games last week and liked watching him. Go Allred Jackson!

It's October!!!!!

We love October for one reason and one reason only. It is pretty much the best thing of the year. We have already bought new things to prepare for it. I bet you guessed it, HALLOWEEN!!!!

Halloween has always been a big deal for my family. It is a fun holiday because you get to dress up, have hundreds of little kids come to your door, get lots of candy and you get to scare the "bigger" kids. That is Adam's job and he loves it. We already have a big spider to hang in the willow tree, a fog machine, a black light, and red Christmas lights to line our yard with. We are almost ready. Now we just need to find the time to make head stones and set it all up. Yeah!

This weekend is conference weekend and I am just so excited to hear it! I love general conference I think it is an awesome opportunity for us to be enlightened and learn.

I felt the baby kick on October 1st! It was surprising and so fun. I called Adam right away, too bad he was at work, to tell him all about it. When he got home I started to shake my belly gently to hopefully wake the baby so it'd start kicking for him. Well of course it didn't and Adam started getting upset that I was shaking my belly. He said, "Don't do that you will hurt it or cause brain damage." I don't think so but I stopped. Anyway it is so fun! I wish it'd kick all day. Soon I will post a new tummy picture it is a lot bigger. However I am not getting discouraged because so far I am 4 1/2 months and have only gained 6 lbs so I am feeling good!

Adam went hunting with Steve Stokes and Nate Andersen tonight. Hopefully they get something. Adam can't even shoot anything but is just going for fun! Boy was he excited too! He came upstairs with his "hunting bag" and started showing me all his hunting stuff. "This is my hunting vest, my hunting pants, my hunting coat," he said. He was just like a little kid. It was so fun to watch him be so excited!
