Sticks and stones and bird eggs

Today I went on a walk with the boys, despite my terrible terrible allergies that make me want to pull my eyes out. I'm glad I did. I got a brisk walk/jog in and they got to explore. Carter picked up a large stick to carry around. Dayton raced us on his bike. We stopped and fed the mules some grass. Carter stopped to stare and pull me over to see all the water in the ditches, "wook mom, water!" The last little treasure we found almost to home, a bird egg. Carter noticed it and picked it up. He went running home to show Dayton his good find. I love these boys!

She is a diva bike rider!

This girl is loving her bikes lately. She has been riding almost daily and I think this summer we can take those training wheels off. She loves doing tricks like one handed and down the hill. She screams, loud and long and clear when she goes down the hill. It's adorable! Today she put on a lot of her jewelry, sunglasses, wanted her hair braided and clips in before her ride. She is all girl and I love it!

My new preschool room!!!

Adam and I thought long and hard about completing the back room of the garage to be a preschool room for me. Including a bathroom and its own entrance. There were a dozen reasons to do it and the only reason not to was money. So, I started selling online a lot and earned about $3000 to go toward the room and then we put our tax return to the room too. It was a total miracle how we earned the money since budget is super tight with Adams medical care. We are feeling blessed. We did consider doing some ourselves but honestly with Adams NMO it is not wise or reasonable in anyway for him to do manual labor and work long hours after a full day of work. Syd Wengren is our contractor and he has been great! Today the sheet rockers came and they did it in 4 hours. Woah! Now onto taping and muding then trim and such.

The one thing we will do ourselves is paint and lay a small amount of laminate. We hope to be totally done by July. I'm feeling so blessed and know this will bless us for many years to come. It allows me to take more students and do another class. Plus we get a bedroom back to use for our family in the house. It's a great little investment so that preschool can pay our medical bills and I can stay home with the kids. God watches over us!

If looks could kill...

I looked over at my boys watching a show tonight and saw this....
The funny thing is that Carter wasn't even upset or pouting. It's just what look he was wearing I guess. Too funny!

Dayton earned a sleepover at Grandmas's

The kids have a sticker chart they fill up as they do jobs around the house. When it's full they get to pick a reward. Dayton chose sleepover with sue. He was spoiled! The jungle book movie, a new car racing Nintendo game, McDonalds and village inn, plus special cereal, new cleats for soccer and lots of soccer practice outside. He is a lucky kid! Thanks grandma!

Soccer!

Dayton is playing soccer again  and boy oh boy does he rock at it!
He runs fast, and I mean that, faster than all the kids on his team.
He huddles and plays hard!
He scored 3 goals, they were 7 to 1, and their team won.
He even played in the rain, with a big grin on his face.
I love this boy! It's just a reminder to me that he NEEDS sports. This winter I think we will try basketball.
Great job D!

My redneck boys!

Today Carter got to help daddy feed the chickens. He jumped up and down with excitement when he knew he got to help. He quickly jumped up, put on his boots and ran out with dad in his diaper and coat. What a great morning!

Spring break, stay-cation!

This year spring break was just day trips and fun things around home. Since I am pregnant and not feeling too hot we felt this would be best. Plus the weather down south wasn't warm enough to make it worth the drive.

Monday: A hang out at home with dad and the Jump Zone! I didn't get pictures cause Carter had hand foot and mouth so didn't go. We visited grandma instead. But the two big kids and Dad had fun.

Tuesday: We went bowling and for frozen yogurt. The kids loved both! It was so fun watching the kids bowl and get excited and very sad depending on if they hit over pins or not. Even Carter insisted on bowling!

Wednesday: Ogden treehouse museum and firehouse subs for lunch. This place is awesome! I enjoy hands on museums like this for the kids. We spent two hours there then grabbed lunch where the kids got a firemen hat and headed home. It was great!

Thursday: The plan was to go to baby animal days but the weather was cold, still snow on the ground and Mamma wasn't feeling well. So, the kids helped Dad in the yard and played together at home. It was a nice chill day and mom rested so I would have energy for the weekend.

Friday: Hogle zoo baby! It was crowded but we saw the new Savannah exhibit and baby Girrafe. Plus lots more fun animals. Rachel loved the merry go round. Dayton begged all day to see the snakes, gross! Carter enjoyed the whole thing especially the monkeys and elephants/rhinos. That night we stayed in a hotel and swam in the pool. The kids think a hotel and pool is the best thing ever. I'm glad they do! We also braved Olive Garden, Dayton's favorite restaurant, as he states. It was actually pretty good considering we took 3 small kids and a pregnant tired mamma. Carter ate quick and then was done so I left with him and headed back to hotel which was just across the street. That worked out well because then Adam stayed with the older kids and walked back when they were done.

Friday: Tracy aviary and Liberty park!

Sisters

This picture was taken Easter weekend at ronola's party. All 5 sisters or rather those that belong to Day boys or were once Day's.
