I’ve made it a habit that each season around spring break and fall break I go through my own closet at the same time I switch out the kids clothes. It’s kept me in the minimalist mindset. If I haven’t worn it in a year or I look at it in my closet every day and debate wearing the item but choose something else instead because of how it fits or how self conscious I’d be in it, then out it goes!
It is refreshing!
I don’t shop a lot. Our money is spent other places like kids sports and medical expenses but when I do it’s at Ross or thrift stores. I rarely spend more than $10 on an item because I just know I can always find a better deal. Today I visited Ross and got an Easter outfit for myself, I honestly can’t remember the last time I did that. I also grabbed two new shirts that will be fun for spring and summer and don’t need an undershirt. Yeah for modest!

Then I took time to switch my winter and fall items into the spare bedroom closet and bring my spring and summer stuff into my closet. Since Adam and I share one closet the space is tight so I switch things over to help with room. During the process I got rid of anything I haven’t worn for awhile or that is just too small even after I have lost my weight. I am currently 137 lbs and so happy I am. I am maintaining pretty well actually, I still do weight watchers but I don’t track religiously. I am just in a habit of eating good and then still letting myself have treats here and there cause I love sweets!!!! Anyway, back on topic, I filled a whole big trash back that I am sending the the neighbors who have lots of girls.

It was a perfect naptime project for today. I enjoy Fridays when I don’t work and I can get house stuff done. This weekend I will get the kids stuff moved over. Time for long sleeves to be boxed up. It’s been raining for days now and we will spend spring break in Moab. Here comes the sun!
