I do have to say that it was fun to decorate our porch this year. Although it was not near what we dream it to be in the future it was better than it has been.
The kids both looked darling this year and Dayton chose his costume this time. He was very specific and said he wanted to be a green dragon. Don't worry though, his dragon is a nice dragon. Rachel was a lady bug and was so adorable. A big thanks to friends for letting us borrow both costumes.
We got to go to Lee's Marketplace to trick or treat. They always do such a great job hosting a trick or treating event. It was busy this year but the kids still liked it and I LOVED the root beer milk they handed out. My Grandma Evelyn used to make that for us when we would visit her. She was a nutrition teacher so that meant root beer milk had to be good for us right? My Mom is always such a fun Grandma and came with us, in a costume! She rocks!
While trick or treating Rachel was talking, well more like squealing the whole time and waving to everyone who was out and about. Dayton on the other hand went around one block in our neighborhood, came home tired, took off his costume and was content to be done. He had enough and was happy with his 15 or so treats in his bucket. Not a greedy kid or too small to understand the idea of more houses equals more candy. Right? After some down time at home we convinced him to go trick or treating with Uncle Jared in my Mom's neighborhood. He agreed if he didn't have to walk. I think he was tired to start with and walking a whole block for a little guy really added to it. So, Jared was a good sport and came with us in Mom's neighborhood for about an hour. Dayton liked that a lot but was still mellow. Pretty sure he is growing a lot right now, it wears him out. Rachel on the other hand was loud. So cute!
Adam and I dressed up too. I fit into my salsa dancer costume since I was not expecting this year. That was fun and Adam was Batman. He wore his costume to work and everyone thought it was great! We had fun together and now the kids are worn out and sound asleep.
So in no particular order here are many Halloween photos to enjoy!
