Willow Flatts!
We have loved getting to know the scout master in the ward Steve Stokes and his cute little family. This summer we have probably spent every day with them. We have a lot in common and we spend tons of time outside! So last night we hiked up to Willow Springs just northeast of franklin and it was beautiful!
Adam and Miss Makenna, as we lovingly call her.
Here is a picture of the river the spring created. We hiked right along it.
Here we are at the Spring. This is one of my new best friends Makenna.

Family BBQ
So this last Saturday the family all came up for a BBQ at first dam for Sue's birthday/late mothers day! We had a blast! Ainslie was cute as ever and she was thrilled about the water. We enjoyed visiting and playing hot potato with pine cones. Yes for all of you who are wondering we all stood in a circle and played hot potato with pinecones it was Mom's idea! Anyway I had fun with some of the pictures. Check out the before and after...

The Wrestling Match
Seeing how I grew up with 3 brothers and a dad who taught me self-defense sometimes I get an urge to wrestle. Adam had me all locked up and the only thing I could move was my head and so I threw my head back and these are the results of our wrestling match!

This little hair clip is what did the damage and of course my mad wrestling skills! Poor Adam...

CANOEING!
This last Saturday we went to first dam with my family and had a
blast! My brother Jared swamped his canoe into the freezing cold water. We all had a good laugh about that! He ended up having to strip down and luckily he had lacrosse pants in the car. I am afraid of big bodies of water especially when I can't see the bottom but I think I did good this time. It was nice warm weather and it was good to have a break from the rain.

Happy Memories!
Sorry this is so late but at least I got to writting.
We had a wonderful memorial day. We all went to my great grandparents and great great grandparents graves to put flowers on them. My family does this every year and I have many found memories of long car rides with my siblings. We would play hundreds of games and usually pack our stuffed animals along to play house with them on the way to visit about ten cemetaries all over the state. Thanks mom and dad for those happy memories!
Adam is loving young mens and his new calling. They have started putting up flags in the neighborhood which many of the ward members have thanked him for. The young men are thrilled about the new leaders as well. This last weekend we all went on an overnighter, wives included and had a blast. The scouts only wrecked one four wheeler and only one boy got the glow stick juices in his eye. That is pretty good when you ahve ten boys together to only have two mishaps. Anyway we are enjoying the boys!

Brave Adam and Scissors
Adam was looking a bit shaggy! It was so bad I think I could have made a small braid out of his hair. So today I suggested that I cut Adam's hair and he was brave enough to say yes. So we went out in the yard and I began snipping. I'm proud to say this time nobody left bleeding! Just kidding I haven't made anyone bleed but this is only the third haircut I have given in my life. Aren't you all so proud? So hats off to Adam for being a kind husband and daring to be my practice run! Maybe he just did it cause he decided having a horrible haircut was not as bad as having an upset wife.
The haircu
t would just grow out!
