Our Pumpkin Patch
Tonight we pulled up all of the plants in our garden. It has been super cold at nights this week and we are done with the produce so out it went. This included the pumpkin patch! The kids were super excited about picking the pumpkins and it was fun to see how many we grew! Now, they are all sitting on our front porch. I didn't count but I know we got over 15 this year. Happy Halloween to us a little early! D keeps asking when we can make faces on them. He has a while to wait, like a whole month. Shoot! :)
I love my family and I love that my husband works hard at gardening even when I am not much help! It makes for good memories and yummy canning items. Love you babe, to the moon and back!

Love
Dayton just came down to my room at 6 am and went potty. Now he is snuggling me and said ... "Mom I want to tell u something."
What buddy?
"I'm just so full of love! I love you so much! So, daddy loves me. And Rachel too."
How sweet, Awe!

Uncle Jared and Top of Utah Marathon
My brother is super cool! Seriously! I am so proud of him! Saturday he ran a marathon! WOW! Talk about motivated and awesome! We went to cheer him on Saturday morning a little over half way. It was so fun to see him! Dayton stood in the road and gave runners high fives to boost their spirits as they passed, it totally worked! My Dad was cheering like crazy and making jokes to various people passing by. Dad said, "You won't believe how much it helps to have someone cheer you on when you are getting discouraged and slow." I believe him! Rachel sat in the lawn chair and clapped. She also stood and clapped. She just really kept clapping. It was darling! Jared's friend Brad ran the last half (well little less than half but almost) with him. I'm sure that helped him push to the end. My parents followed Jared and watched him around mile 20 and at the finish line as well. He was super sore for about a week after, I would be too! It was neat to go support him.
I am so proud of my brother! Go J!

Dayton getting high fives from all the marathon runners! He thought that was neat.
More high fives and a grin on his face!
Here comes Jared! This was around mile 14, look how spry he looks.

Begging to go Bowling
Dayton has been begging to go bowling for a month now! He seriously asks almost everyday, very nicely. We keep telling him another day, another day, another day.... I find that I say that a lot as a parent. I just need to remember to make sure we do it "another day" otherwise I am making false promises.
So after Adam and I went to dinner yesterday we picked the kids up and took them bowling. It was the most fun we have had together in a long time! The kids loved it! Dayton bowled all by himself and danced on the slick floor while his ball took a whole minute to roll down the lane. He isn't quiet strong enough to push it hard enough. The ball makes it down but it takes for-ev-er! Still super fun to cheer for him. Adam and Rach bowled together and Rach did good too. She insisted on a high five from me after every turn. Funny girl!

This is what I look like...
After 20 hours of contractions.
I feel awful.
Exhausted, heavy, crampy all over, weak, chubby face, and ready to be done.
I'd like time to skip ahead 6 weeks and then I'd be thrilled about these contractions and hopefully (flashing ahead 6 weeks) all these would be making me dilate.
As it is today, baby boy needs to stay in a bit longer so I had Teena come teach and I have been in bed and on a hot pad all day.
The good news, the contractions have slowed since last night and what they were this morning. My mom came after naps and helped with kids while she did my dishes. Bless her!
Pregnancy is hard! Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.

USU Homecoming Parade
Dayton takes tumbling at Altius this year. We switched him from Sports Academy to Altius since it is strictly a gymnastics place and all of their staff are gymnasts. We are hoping he will learn some basic skills and get some good old exercise as well.
The gym had a float/trailer in the USU Homecoming Parade this Saturday and Dayton wanted to be on it. He even called Grandma Trudy all excited and asked her if she wanted to come watch him in the parade for gymnastics. He really was SO excited for the parade. He was easily the youngest one on there. We were proud parents that he did it! Here are the pictures I got.
Other parade pictures. I guess I didn't get a single picture with my Mom in it but she did come. The twins with Sara and Jared are her cousins that she was tending.

It was a long parade but the weather was perfect and nice which made the hour and a half bearable.
