We have a baby model for a son!

Take a look at these pictures and you will understand what I mean. These are pure cuteness!!!!

Dayton is now 3 months old! He is smiling tons, giggly, babbling a lot, and especially loves to talk to the cieling fan. He is growing so fast and is so rolly! We love him more than ever and can't wait to see what he has in store for us next. He is such a well behaved baby so I can't imagine it'll be anything too surprising! :)
He has also just starting eating rice cereal with a spoon. I have been shaking a little in his breast milk right before bed since he was 2 months but now I'm giving him the real stuff. He actually eats it REALLY well! He is a chunk so I guess I shouldn't have expected anything else.
P.S. We have a couple that has signed a contract to rent the basement starting July 1st. They are great people. We hope it works for them.

Soldier Jake!

So my brother, well adopted with all our love brother, Jake is on leave from Iraq. My students have been writing letters to him and others in his platoon. So while he was here he came to surprise the kids and visit them. He showed them pictures of Iraq, tanks, guns, camel spiders, and other crazy stuff. They LOVED it!!! Here are just a couple of pictures I took. I have 32 students but I think 4 were absent this day. Anyway, doesn't that seem like a lot of kids in the pictures?
We love you Jake see you in 4 months!

One of the many...

advantages to remodeling is new stuff!!!

Old appliances that used to be upstairs and are now going downstairs.
My new appliances upstairs, which we got a SCREAMING deal on ksl.com. I love good deals! Plus these are both WAY nicer than the old ones. Especially my frigde. :)

We are just waiting to get the electrical inspection done. The guy, Paul Taylor, who inspects in Mendon has been over two times already and we didn't pass either time. LAME!!! He is kind of being unreasonable and a bit of a jerk. We are trying really hard to be compliant with all of their "rules" to be able to rent out the basement. One of these is to sheet rock over all of our heat vent and put in space heaters on the walls because there can't be transfer of air between the upstairs and downstairs. They say it's because of transfer of disease which my Dad, Mr. microbiologist, said that was absurd. We also double sheetrocked the whole basement so it'd be a one hour fire barrier, like it'd take us one hour to get out of the house if there was a fire, ha! Maybe I will take that long and pack a few things before I run out of my house. :)
Anyway, he comes again tomorrow and if we finally pass then we can tile, put the cabinets in and do all the finishing touches. Hopefully it'll be done by mid June. It's been on ksl for about a week and we have had over 10 people call and 4 people come see it. We have two couples that we REALLY like. So we are hoping we can get it done quick! Wish us luck!

White Boy!

Construction at our house!
Adam just spent the last 2 hours sanding dry wall in the basement! You go hunny! He looks pretty freaky. All I have to say is I wonder how much of that dust he ate?

Hats off to you, your the best!

Dear Dayton,

I just wanted to say, you are the best!

I love it when I check on you during your nap and I see this....I adore those round cheeks, bright blue eyes, big smiles and long eyelashes!I especially get giddy over the curly hair you have right out of the bath. You really ARE my SUNSHINE!!Oh, and THANK YOU FOR SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT AT 8 WEEKS OLD!!!! Hats off to you buddy!

2 month check up:
weight: 13lb 11 oz, 90%
length: 24 in, 85%

He also got his first shots and he did not like them :( But he still was pretty content and still slept through the night! I'm convinced I have the best little boy ever!

This picture of both Grandma's is just priceless! It was taken on his blessing day! 5-2-2010

Getting Ready to plant!

This is our friend Lily. She is a doll! We visited the Allen's aout 2 weeks ago and I took this. I am behind in blogging so that is why it's so late. She loved holding Dayton!
We are getting the garden ready to plant! We tilled it the past 2 Saturday's and are going to plant it this upcoming Saturday. You have to plant late in Cache Valley because it's so cold. It'll be our first attempt at a garden so we will see how it goes.
Dayton loved sitting in his bouncer outside watching us work. He likes the fresh air that is for sure!

We started construction!

We started construction on our basement this Monday. We have a building permit and are ready too go. Adam Howes and his company Canyon Creek Construction are the one doing it for us. We have been so impressed with them so far. They have worked so quick and done an awesome job. I took a before video of it but it's too big to load. So I guess you will just get to see some pictures of them in the process and when it's done. Anyway we are thrilled! Hopefully we can rent it out in June. So if anyone knows someone looking for a nice place to rent, for a great deal have them call!

Dayton was blessed today!

Today was special for me. It was Dayton's blessing and Adam gave a beautiful blessing. I was touched and so was he. He got emotional while giving the blessing and we both felt the spirit. Dayton was an angel during the blessing and Grandpa Day opened his eyes to peek at him during it and said he was very happy. Adam and I both shared our testimonies about the importance of family and how blessed we feel to have such a sweet spirit in our home. Dayton wore Adam's outfit that he was blessed in so that was neat. Davee especially liked that and told Adam how touched he was during the blessing.

People in the circle were...
Grandpa Day
Grandpa Chandler
Rod Barker
Great Grandpa Barker (ronald)
Clint Allen
McCord Larsen
Adam (Dad)

(uncle Josh had car problems and couldn't make it in time)

Afterward we had family over. We had over 40 people. We loved the company and support. Pictures coming soon.

Arches

This is a late post. This was all the same trip to Moab. This is us at double arch.

The pictures below are all seven of us hiking to delicate arch. It took us awhile with Ainslie but she hiked a good ways and we enjoyed it. Dayton especially loved being outside and was perfectly behaved on the hike.

We had a blast!
