Now a days...

We have been spending time inside trying to take it easy. I have been having lots of preterm contractions, like I had with Dayton, so we are being lazy lately.

We spend time looking out the window.

Dressing up which Dayton loves to do, he thinks necklaces and headbands are funny!

Eating and playing with our food. Dayton is a good eater and might I add that I am too! :)

Playing with the vacuum is a favorite activity. In fact Dayton always begs to help me vacuum when I get it out and then he spend the next 30 minutes playing with it and pushing it around. :)

Watching lots of Pooh Bear and Disney movies! Lots and lots!

Celebrating birthday's. Happy birthday Josh the big 30! Happy birthday Joseph the big 19! Great things are in store for both of you!

Growing bigger and bigger! 30 weeks along here and she seems to be sitting lower. I had my 31 week check up yesterday and because of all my contractions he did a fetal fibronectin test on me which checks for preterm labor. The reason they do it is to see if you are going to have the baby in the next two weeks. I haven't heard the results yet but Dr. Noorda said he thinks since I am not dilating that there is a good chance it'll be negative, which is good. I am 50% effaced though which is nice to hear, crossing my fingers she comes before Thanksgiving dinner. :) I had the same test done with Dayton since I had contractions so early with him too. I guess my body just has them early. I think it is partly due to how I carry it, all out front. Anyway, hoping she stays in for at least 5 more weeks but I'd be happy with an early November baby. I guess we will see! Just an note that so far I have gained 28 pounds. I am hoping to not gain the 50 pounds I did with Dayton. I have been trying to walk almost every day and eat better and not tons. I guess we will see but so far 28 pounds with two months left, it isn't looking so good! FRUSTRATING! I have been trying so hard to do so much better but I guess if I still gain that much it is because the baby needs it, right?

We are also busy trying to get the yard ready for winter in a month. That takes up our whole weekend and has pretty much all of September. Adam and I also canned 28 quarts of pears this week. Our garden did well this year but we are getting ready to clean it up in the next week or two. :)

That is what has been happening at our house "now a days."

Lovely Living

This past weekend we sold our old couch and got a new set up. The new set up only ended up costing us $350! Sweet! The couches came from Fisher's outlet and the entertainment center was on ksl for $25. We moved out our old entertainment center because the TV was way too low. Dayton was driving his tractor on the screen, climbing up on the shelf, and licking the TV. really?!? Ya, so we needed a change! Also our old couch was lovely and comfy but light tan and I was cleaning it almost monthly to keep it nice. I decided leather would be so so so much easier with kids. Plus I think our new stuff fits in our front room much better. :)

OLD

NEW

Don't mind the mess in this picture. It is just the every day of life.

What do you think?

I love the leather and I am LOVING that I don't have to get after D all day about the TV. It is just one less thing to worry about and I felt like such a grumpy Mom always saying, "No Dayton don't climb on that," or "No Dayton we don't hit the TV or dump our sippy cup on it." This is just so much more kid friendly and looks nice too.

PS I love you Adam for listening to my feelings and trying to make my life easier on a tight budget. I really do love and appreciate you caring.

Remember when you were a kid?

You loved parades, especially the band! You liked gathering the candy but enjoyed eating it more. :)

You liked to color...

You loved to play ants in the pants...

You enjoyed climbing trees, or trying to climb trees...

Wasn't it wonderful to be a kid?

How grateful I am to my Father in Heaven for blessing us with such a sweet, funny, adventurous little boy. He reminds me every day what life is all about! I love you buddy! My heart is so full of love for him, I can't imagine how it will be with two.

My handy men!

Last weekend Adam replaced the lid on the chicken's laying box. It was falling apart and corroding so it was time for a new one.

Here is the lid before...

Here are my handy men working on the new lid... (What a helper D is!)

Here is the finished product...

Fire and Hike

Just last week we noticed a small flame on the top of our power line pole. It was 9pm and Adam quickly called Rocky Mountain Power and they said they would send someone out to fix it. So Adam went to back to work and I went to bed. Shortly after laying in bed and getting my pregnant self situated I heard the Mendon City fire station alarm go off. My head popped off my pillow thinking someone had called on our minor fire on the pole. Well, I was right. I looked out my window and a lady was sitting our there in her car on the phone. In about 2 minutes two firetrucks and a cop car showed up. I was praying Dayton wouldn't wake up! They couldn't do anything, of course, all the firemen just stood there and looked at it. What were they gonna do hose down the power lines? I told them Adam called Rocky Mountain power and they were on their way. They ended up waiting for the power line guy to get there and then took off. Yup, just as I thought, they couldn't do anything and it was no big deal! I feel bad the lady called the guys out of bed at 9:30pm for a tiny flame. Anyway, here is the one picture I got. Yes, the fire on the pole is so small you can't even see it in the picture. Adam was bummed he went back to work and missed the excitement!

Also, we recently hiked in the evening for fun up Logan Canyon. We decided to try the Old Juniper trail and just went about a mile then turned around. Dayton loved his pack and would not stop talking the whole hike. He was just so observant and noticed the "a-wa" agua or water, "fl-ers" flowers, "fly's" bugs and "wock" rocks. It was enjoyable to be out in the cool night air and good exercise too.

Family

I love Grandma! She loves me!

We love Grandpa! Yes sir-ee!

They love us and so you see, we are a happy family!

I just got the head bands and flowers this week! I was so excited I had to try one on Dayton but the choker was his own doing. :)

Long boarding

This past Sunday Dayton enjoyed long boarding with his Uncles. He especially liked riding on his belly. It was so cute to see him trying to be big. It was also cute to see how much he really does love Joe and Nate even though he can only say Joe's name. :)

One more thing that Dayton is really into lately is Pooh Bear. He watches a Pooh movie almost daily right after his nap while he wakes up, since he is a slow waker upper. He says "pooh" loud and clear! We also took him to the new Pooh Bear movie in the theater about a month ago and he made it through the first 45 minutes almost the whole show. Anyway, so the other day I put these sheets on his bed that Uncle Nate got from Grandma Day (who has passed away). Nate let us borrow them, I am guessing because he didn't want pooh bear sheets on his bed at age 17? jk Nate! Dayton loves them! Grandma's memory lives on! :)

New Family Pictures

Taken September 18 2011 in our yard! Dayton is 18 months and Angie is 6.5 months pregnant with our baby girl!
