5 months of happiness!

It's fun to be with the one you love forever. That's just a perfect thought! I am loving Adam more and more as we grow together each day. A couple of days ago we celebrated our 5 month anniversary. I know to all you old folks 5 months is nothing but each month we count down the days til another celebration. This time Adam surprised me with flowers and a clean apartment. I'm grateful for such a thoughtful husband.

We helped Mama Sue move yesterday. Adam is sad that the house he grew up in will no longer be his. But we are excited for her to move onto something more fitting for her. We actually got a freezer from her and we are dang excited about it. Last summer Adam raised a pig and so we have about 200 lbs of pork that we need to store. Right now it is at our friends in-laws so it'll be nice to get it out of their hair. Summer school is hard but we are sticking with it. We are determined for Adam to graduate this December and me this next April. Adam is Young Men's President now and he is enjoying it. We are grateful for willing counselors who help out tons. Hopefully he will get to go to some scout camps with all this summer school. If not I guess he will just be camping with me this summer; with the sleeping bags!!!

Decorating! A little something new!

Adam is a sweetheart and agreed to letting me do a little redecorating. It makes me happy and it's fun for me. If only I could paint...

I accented our bedroom in blue and green. It makes it more cheerful like don't you think. Just the brown and tan were starting to get me down.
I got new pictures for the living room which is red and black. They came from Hobby Lobby that just opened here in Logan. They were also half off! Sweet deal!

These are just beautiful flowers that we have in front of our apartment. I get to walk out the door each day to go to class and smile because of these pretty flowers. It makes getting up to go to class in the summer not so bad!

MY BEST BUDDY!

This is my buddy Jackson. I have been watching Jack for about a year now and love every minute I get to spend with him. I have learned that children really open your eyes. Jack is 4 years old and is always a sweetheart. I have never heard him throw a tantrum or witnessed him being a stinker. I thank his mom Wyatt and dad Chris for letting me be a part of Jack's life and watching him grow. He brightens my day each time I get to play with him!
Jack rode his bike to the park today and while he was riding he stopped and said "Hey Angie! Look at those, they are beautiful!" Jack noticed those bright orange tulips and took time to appreciate them. He reminds me to take the time to notice the little things in life. I can always do better at that.
Today Jack said, "Hey I like your pink toes." I smiled. He is a sweetheart!

So Adam and I decided that watching other people's children is not half bad. We actually enjoy it! So this summer we are planning on picking up some more families to tend while the parents go on vacation! Tonight we put fliers on hundreds of doors, ok about 300! So spread the word we would love to meet with any family. Thanks for supporting our new crazy habit!

My First love is Adam and my second is Mountain Biking

Adam decided that he wanted to teach me how to mountain bike. Growing up I have always done road biking with my family. We biked 50 miles around Bear Lake in about 7 or 8 hours! We were thrilled about it too! So I thought this would be something I would enjoy as well as Adam. Now I know mountain biking is much different. I rode a small frame Gary Fisher HiFi...all you moutain bikers out there know that is a good bike! I'm still learning all those biking terms...This is us biking on Hidden Canyon in Moab! It was a beautiful day! For us super white folks from Cache Valley where the sun rarely shines we wore sunscreen.This is Hidden Canyon! It was a beautiful view and we loved the breeze! It was worth biking through the sand!And there was plenty of that pretty sand...Hidden Canyon and my stud!This was just a little arch I took cover in! This was near Hidden Canyon and I thought it was cute!This being Angie's first time mountain biking I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't really know how comfortable she was on a bike. As it turns out she did great!! She never fell once, even when we rode on the Slick Rock Trail. The picture above is what the trail is like. We went back to take a picture the day after we rode it cause we forgot when we were there.

Because I liked biking Adam got me a cute bike shirt which you can see! This was our camp site. We loved using all of our new camp gear. We made steaks and raspberry cobbler. The funny part about the trip was that after we arrived in Moab at 8:45pm we hurried and set up the tent and I asked, "Adam, where did you pack the sleeping bags?" His stomach sank and he replied, "Ang, I forgot the sleeping bags." We laughed and ran out to buy some sleeping bags before it got too cold, unfortunately everything in Moab closes at 8pm. So we bought an air mattress at the only store open we figured this would at least get us off the ground. We thought it'd be plenty warm if we just bundled up and snuggled close. That night it was 32 degrees....

We ended up sleeping in the truck!

Us at Dead Horse Point! One legand says cowboys rounded up wild horses on this mesa top and the only way out was a narrow neck about 30 yards wide. The cowboys then built a fence out of shrubs and wood across this only exit. Once the cowboys picked the horses that they wanted they left the others on the mesa. With the Colorado River just below them the horses all died of dehydration. Hence the name...
