Day After Christmas with the Chandler's

Once again I took about a hundred pictures so I will not be posting them all. I will not be labeling them all either since they are self explanatory. I do have to say that we had a great time together this year. The kids are so fun and play so cute together. I just can't wait until Rachel and the baby girl of Janae's who is on her way are big too! It is so fun to have cousins your own age, I think.

Tradition still stands! Every Christmas Sue gives us "As seen on TV" gifts and we pass them in a circle to a left and right story. It is always a blast and we usually end up with some random or crazy stuff. This year we got Monkey hooks (awesome), a perfect meatloaf pan, and a cooking basket. We love you Sue for being so fun! Here we all are with our gifts.

Anyway, Dayton scored on his present from Sue! Yes, a train table! He has been really into trains lately and he absolutely loves this thing! He has played with it every day since he got it. Great gift Grandma Sue! Oh and Adam did an awesome job putting on all the stickers and setting it up. Good job hunny!

Notice D's mouth saying "choo choo"!

Rachel got clothes and tights from Sue. And Sue totally gets credit for buying a hot pink frilly skirt with leggings for her. It is dang cute! You go Sue!

Here are Ainslie and Evelyn opening their gifts! Ainslie got a kids Ipad. I think it's called a Leap pad. She was so happy about it! She played it almost the whole night. Evi got a car toy that spins the cars off the track.

We gave Sue the DVD Atlas Shrugged. It was no surprise since we asked her what she wanted. But I think she will like it! Adam also wrote her a love letter. :)

We gave Josh and Janae some DVD's and popcorn as their family gift. I hope they enjoy them!

We missed Breezy this Christmas. She was down at Dad's in St. George but she gave Adam and I a great gift, a date!

Merry Christmas Chandler Family, we love you! We are grateful for all of you and the blessing you are to us. Especially Mama Sue, you have saved me many times this year and have been very self-less with many long drives up here to visit, to bring something up of ksl, or to help with the kids. THANK YOU!

Christmas at the Day's

I took a ton of pictures so I am not going to take the time to label them all, most of them speak for themselves. Mom and Dad really spoiled us this year. We got a Chandler Family stocking which was fun, loaded with goodies. We also got a Christmas book and Mom said we will get one every year so we can start a collection. I love that idea! We also got new hampers/organizing bins which I love! We got a hot water bath for canning which means no more borrowing Mom's. We got some pruners, coco motion, and I got a new outfit. Yup we were spoiled! Jared brought me a cool sweater hand made from Chile and slippers for the kids. I love them because they are so unique. Adam got his dream chicken feeder from Lisa and some fish plants for his new tank. They did a great job for Adam this year! We gave Mom an embroidery floss organizer, kid bowls, and bottles for her house. We gave Dad one of his favorite movies, Big, a Beverly Hillbillies DVD with something like 40 episodes, and Weight Watchers popcorn. I had Lisa's name and gave her an Udder Cover and baby clothes and burp rags. Adam had Jared and gave him a USB for school. The kids were spoiled with bubble bath, Rachel got her birth stuffy that winds up and sings, she also got a caterpillar from G-pa, an outfit from G-ma and her piggy bank from Grandpa Barker. Dayton got a BIG SURPRISE, his horse from Grandma and Grandpa. Oh my, it was a huge hit! He rode it with a huge grin for almost an hour straight. Seriously, it was the perfect gift for him. He would say, "Horsey cute!" and "Ride horsey, ride." "Giddy up horsey!" and best of all "Horsey happy!" In other words Dayton is happy about this gift. He was thrilled! We really enjoyed each others company and also got to see Margee, Steve and Matthew (Dad baptized Margee on his mission).

Lisa and Cord gave Dad this electric toilet plunger, totally a joke! So funny!

Mom searched and searched and found Dad's favorite thing online, hot salt.

My face says it all, new clothes are always a hit!

Joe gave us all Argentina shirts with a letter. It was so nice of him!

Rachel's piggy bank made by Ronola! Whoever took this picture needs some photo lessons. :)

We love my family and it was a blessing to spend half the day together. It was great to have Jared home and Lisa expecting. It just reminds us how precious our family is! Merry Christmas Day's!!!

Christmas Morning Just Us

I have to start by saying that this Christmas was very special for me personally. Having two beautiful children was wonderful this year. Dayton is at a really fun age and Rachel really helped me focus on what matters in life and during this season, family!

Dayton woke up around 7:45am and Rachel and I were already awake just waiting for him to wake up so we could open our presents. :) We started with the stockings. Dayton pulled out every sixlet package in the sock and even dug past other toys to get to them. He really liked them and kept saying, "treat!" It made me laugh it was so cute!

After stockings we opened presents. Santa brought Dayton a stroller for his doll. He loved it!!!! He brought Adam a tie organizer and me grey boots! Oh, don't mind that I put on the boots with my awesome pajamas. I know it looks crazy! Thanks Santa!

Then for the presents we gave each other. I surprised Adam with an awesome tool chest to store his tools. You can tell by the look on his face that he had no idea what it was. Score!!! He also got new dress pants, polo, and shirt for work.

Adam gave me cute black Sunday shoes and a new tank and cardigan. I LOVE the cardigan it is so cute! It is fun to have new cute clothes after having a baby because you don't feel so cute. So thanks Adam!

AND I got this beauty from Adam!!! I LOVE IT!!! Words can not describe how excited I was about this with the drawers underneath to store winter gear, shoes, etc. It has made my kitchen so much less cluttered, yeah!

Dayton got a doctor set, which was a hit! He played with it for almost an hour straight and we couldn't get him to open anything else. What a good kid! He also got a stuffed animal monkey and a broom. He loved both!

Although Rachel is only one month old she was still so so so cute and fun to have at Christmas! Here is proof that she was here! We sure love her.

We enjoyed the morning together and then headed to church at 11am. We had a very nice Christmas program, I lead the primary kids, and we felt the spirit this Christmas. After church we headed to my parents house for the afternoon and evening. Dayton had a 30 minute power nap at church and that was it. We were a bit worried he would be too tired to play and he would throw tantrums, however he was excellent all night long. WOW! Those pictures to come in another post.
