Vivie loves dressing herself
Vivie is a Doll! She is always finding some of her pants, pajamas, pulling the older kids clothes out of their drawer, especially underwear, and trying to put them on. What a smarty pants! Today she did it all on her own. They might be inside out and backward but nonetheless she did it! I walked into the bathroom to see this and I laughed and laughed and cheered for her. Then not the very next minute I walked into my room to see her wearing my big snow boots. They go up to her bottom but man oh man was she grinning ear to ear with pride. Vivie is growing up and is so cute!!!

Christmas Afternoon with Day Grandparents
This year I didn't get a lot of pictures but that is okay. Here are all the Grandkids opening their stocking from the Grandparents. Plus then they each got one big gift. Dayton got a pogo stick. Rachel got a karaoke machine with CD's. Carter got two games, bean bag toss and fishing that we will need to trade cause we already have it.
Vivie and Bingham got these little red flyers. They have a bell and are the perfect size for their little legs to walk. Vivie can even ring the bell on her own.
Dad and Rachel singing karaoke. Too cute!
Then of course we went sledding behind the car. Tradition! Vivian did get on and loved it actually but I didn't get a picture. Dayton and Rachel wanted to go and go and never stop. Dayton said, "Now this is sledding! Not all that other stuff we usually call sledding." I laughed, yes this is much better than hiking up a big hill for a 10 second ride.
We got Mom and Dad a basket with citrus marmalade, cream cheese, crackers and truffles we made. Then we got Mom a family tree necklace I special ordered with all our names. We got Dad a new set of Rook cards. Plus the kids gave them cards and pictures they did and some new Grandma books.
Merry Christmas!

CHRISTMAS MORNING
Christmas morning was so wonderful. It was nice to be together. The kids are at such a fun age. Carter especially squeeled and loved every item that he pulled out of his stocking. Like chapstick! He screamed with excitment. So cute!
Rachel noticed holes in her gloves on the walk on Christmas Eve. She said, "I should ask Santa for new gloves." I told her he was probably already on his way so it wasn't likely but if he was really real and really magic maybe just maybe he would bring them in the morning. And guess what.... he did! She was thrilled and knew he was real!

Gift Five: Something to Read

Mom and Dad opening some things...

One last gift, Beany Boo for all the kids!
Riding on Carter's plasma car. Vivie didn't appreciate it with Carter but loved it with Dad.
Everyone's items. I tried to picture all items but most the candy was eaten by mid morning. Ha! I do this just to help us all remember when we look back what we got and what the kids asked Santa for. I know I think I will remember but I just don't.
What Santa brought...
The kids at the top of the stairs before going down. I told Dayton we wouldn't go down before 7am. I woke up to a tap on my shoulder and him saying, "Mom, it is 7:01." He was so spot on and obediant. Vivan woke about an hour after the big kids then joined the party.
Their reactions and opening gifts!

A big surprise this year to Adam from me was that I secretly paid off our last student loan. When we moved here over three years ago we paid off all our loand but one small one. We needed money to replace stinky 1970 pink and teal carpet. So we have had one small load left for the past three years and I sold enough online in Gymboree clothes, my business, without Adam knowing to pay it off this Christmas. It was a HUGE surprise and I am SO happy! We both are. Merry Christmas babe!
