WE MOVED!

I don't think it has really set in yet but we now live in a newer, nicer, closer to town house! Sweet deal! We are so happy! I am busy unpacking, and can you believe I am almost done and we have only been here two full days? I am on a roll but also piles in every corner bug me. Ha ha! Tonight Adam took Dayton back to the Mendon house to get the fish tank and swing set. I took Rachel with me to Hobby Lobby where we looked at almost every cute thing in the store. I got vinyl lettering and came home to complete my FIRST decorating project in this house. I also took advantage of their half off flowers sale for her window sill. I am excited about how it looks, see picture! I am sure there will be many more posts about house decorating as I get time to do it. For now, just LOVING it here!

This little lady is...

5 months old! Where has the time gone? I just love having a little girl. Rachel is bright, happy, snuggly, talkative, and content. I'm grateful she is here to remind me of what life is all about every day. Here hair is getting lighter now, she can sit up great, she does raspberries with her lips (so funny) and she rolls more now too. She weighs 16.5 pounds and wears 9 month and sometimes 12 month old clothes. Rach eats rice twice a day now as well, big girl! What a sweetie!

A good big brother...

Today I left the kids in the front room watching a movie while I did my hair. Dayton was eating goldfish crackers while watching intently. Rachel, 5 months old, also loves to watch the TV. Two kids entertained by TV is wonderful at times for a busy momma to make some progress. After about 10 minutes of getting ready I hear Rachel fuss, then squeal, then scream. I ran out to the front room to find Dayton trying to sit by her in her seat which really meant sitting on her legs. Once picking Rachel up to calm her down I noticed soggy goldfish crackers on her chin and shirt. My first thought...

Really??? Dayton was sharing? Huge success after trying and trying to teach this concept.

My second thought....
Really??? Feeding the toothless baby crackers? What was he thinking!!! (he is 2 yrs old he has NO concept of "she can't eat that.")

My third thought....
There will be many many more incidences like this to come. It's part of a healthy sibling relationship. :)

St. George part of vacation

After Moab we drove to St George for Saturday evening and Sunday with the family. We also hit Fiesta Fun and the bumper boats, which D loved! Sunday was spent visiting, relaxing, and being together. We headed back to Logan Monday morning.

MAKING the MOST of MOAB

Here are many pictures from our trip. The kids enjoyed hiking and yes, Adam carried them both part way  up to delicate arch. What a hunk! I carried the big camelback, held D's hand for most of the way when he hiked on his own, and I had the snacks too. I guess you can say I am not tough! I did carry Rachel down though, so I guess I get some credit.

Headed to Delicate Arch. Dayton hiked up almost the whole thing! He wanted to walk and picked up every rock he saw on the way. He enjoyed it, to say the least!

Rocking those shades buddy!
He fell in the parking lot before we even got going and was dripping blood from both knees. Darn it!

My favorite picture of the whole trip! My sweet boy loving God's creations!

Hanging at the hotel in the morning!

Headed to Sand Dune Arch, it was the second hike of the day.

Picking up rocks on his way....as usual. :) Love this boy!

My second favorite picture! She loves her  Daddy!
 SAND!!!!
Sand Dune Arch in a hidden, cool, shady spot!

Skyline Arch, this was a hot trail but short.

We had a wonderful time together as a family in Moab on our annual trip after a crazy tax season for Adam. We really enjoyed the beautiful hikes this trip. We did not go jeeping but we spent plenty of time rolling around in the red sand and sight seeing. The kids were both great and loved being outside in the sun. We also enjoyed the pool and water slide at our hotel. Dayton even went down it by himself at 2 years old! No fear. Good job buddy! We also happened to run into the Allen family while we were down there and they gifted us dinner at Zak's pizza place. Yummy food and good company. Until next year Moab, we sure will miss you!
