3 months with R&F

To be honest I feel like my skin glows but as far as reversing the sun damage, I don't see it. Boo! This just isn't worth that much money to not get obvious results. I am bummed. I would love all my freckles to be less obvious

Lagoon Date

Jared and Sara played with the younger two while Adam and I went to Lagoon and the older two stayed at home with a sitter. It was so nice of them to watch the babies. I can't leave all four kids with a 13 year old when we go far away for a long time. They made it so Adam and I could have fun and not worry together.

Grandma Evelyn's Dress

I found this dress ar Ross. I think it was like $10 or $12, which is just awesome! But when I saw it I immediately thouht of my Grandma Evelyn. She passed away when I was 11 years old, I think, maybe 12. But is has been a long time. I remember seeing pictures of her in a navy blue polka dot dress. When she passed my Mom took it from her house and now has it in her closet. Lisa and I tried it on as girls for fun. I would never fit in it now, Evelyn was tall and thin. Anyway, I bought this dress for the sentiment I guess. Plus it is flowy and comfy.

Easter Family Pictures

Grandpa Davee took these photos for us this Easter. The kids were okay, little and hard to photograph, but we got some pictures.

Rachel's Black Eye

Rachel fell over a week ago out in the garage. She tripped over a scooter and hit her head on the cement steps. Poor girl! She had an immediate goose egg. Of course her first concern was her toe that got stubbed. Anyway, a couple days later her eye started going black and it has only gotten slowly worse over the past week. It looks like purple eye shadow. She has been a trooper about it.

Easter 2017

The Easter bunny came! As usual he left jelly beans all over the floor. What a mess!

The Annual Barker party was at Aunt Jan and Wayne Haws house in Hooper. My grandparents are pure goodness and I love them! They have raised generations of stalwart, kind, righteous, God fearing people. I have over 30 cousins and they all have babies too. Now I am certain my Grandparents have more great grandchildren then grandchildren. We had the usual treausre hunt for the kids. Then the egg hunt and BBQ. The kids were driven and motivated and got lots of eggs. Rachel even shared at her own will with Talia who only got 3. I was proud!

We went to church on Easter Sunday then had the Chandler Family up for a BBQ and an egg hunt. Oh how we love our cousins. The kids enjoyed these big streamers that Aunt Janae brought and chalk and cars for the boys. Thanks Janae! They were all totally spoiled with candy. We all enjoyed the sunshine too!

It was a Happy Easter! We love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We spend our family night Monday learning about why we celebrate Easter. It is because of Him that we can have Joy and return to our Father in Heaven. I know this to be true. Life is hard, it is a trial, full of sorrow and sadness but if we endure it well we will be exhalted on high.

Nursing

Vivian loves nursing. She won't take anything else. Despite my best efforts. I have come to terms with the fact that they are only babies once and she is our last so I need to enjoy it. I think Heavenly Father knew this and sent me her with this need for that reason. She has now gotten old enough that she grabs at my face and plays with my hair while she eats. She is a sweetie.

Hatching

I think I get the best wife award EVER! I let Adam incubate 24 eggs in the basement. He ended up throwing a couple out and only locking down 21 eggs after candeling them. We had 13 hatch. Yeah! So now we have live yellow fluffy chicks downstairs cheeping away. Oh the life of a farm boy. ha ha!

6 months

Length: 2'3" in the 87%
Weight: 18 lbs. 12 oz. in the 86%
Head Circumfrence: 17.9 in the 99%
Vivan loves her siblings. She sits good and tall. She gets around fabulously in her walker. She likes baby oatmeal but not rice cereal. She enjoys baby food. She has just started eating graham crackers but not cherrios yet. She wakes once a night but sleeps decent other than that 9:30pm-7:30am with one time waking to nurse. The sleeping is better than last couple of months so I will take it. She bounces to music and loves peek a boo. Her hair is lighter and filling in. She loves walks and being in the front carrier. She hates her carseat and long car rides, sometimes even short ones. She is a gem!

Rachel Creates

Rachel is super creative! I find things like this around the house all the time. She cuts, colors, glues, tapes and makes things. She is like me in that way. Oh how I love her creativity. I try hard to not scream when she uses a whole roll of tape or makes confetti out of an entire stack of paper. I like to encourage her mind. She is so fun to watch blossom. What an artist and creator she is.

The girls

I love matching our girls! This is Rach age 5 1/2 and Vivie at 6 months.

Spring Break

We started spring break at Grandpa's house. Raven was nice to play so good with the kids. They loved beading with her. She even had kid needles. Plus, she has a fun Grandma box that they get to pick from when they come. The kids know this and love it! We stayed Sunday night to Monday there to break up the drive to St. George.

On the road together was actually okay. Vivian screamed for long periods of time there and back but not much we could do. She just does not like her seat. Other than that the other kids were pretty good riders. We made a 4 hours drive with just one stop for lunch and a playground.
The Children's museum in St. George was a hit. I took more pictures but just wanted to post this one. The kids liked it. There were fun rooms for each of them. Dayton loved the basketball room, Rachel skipped around a lot but likes the grocery store, Carter loved the Dinosaur room and Vivie was happy to observe. We did this Monday afternoon when we arrived.
Dinner at black bear diner was yummy! This was dinner Monday and the kids actually behaved at a restaurant. It was nice.
Sleeping at comfort inn with pool was definitly a high light. The kids love hotels. I think it is awesome! We spent about $180 for two nights and they were on cloud nine. Win win! Dayton was playing so cute with Vivie while we got settled in. He was giggling like a girl, he thought he was so funny. It was priceless!

Tuesday we went to Sand Hollow resivoir. Despite it being in the 60's it was freezing by the water and with the wind. We played in the sand for two hours with jackets and hats and shivers. Then we packed up and headed to the Dollar Tree for lunch items.
After lunch at the hotel of TV dinners from the dollar store we spent the entire afternoon with more hotel swimming. It was sunny and warm and we were all happy. We hit McDonald's for dinner with a playplace. Then we spent the night watching cartoons on the tv in the room. The kids think this is amazing since we don't have tv at home. Can I tell you I am happy we don't! Oh my word the cartoons now a days are terrible. We changed the channel a lot.
Last day in St. George we spent at a very cool park. It is an all abilities park done by the city. It is awesome! It even had a train! The kids played for 2 hours and would have stayed longer but we needed to make the drive back to Uncle Nate's in provo.
Wednesday night we stayed with Nate and Alex. We watched Storkes and stayed up way too late. Thanks to them Adam was able to get his root canal early Thursday morning in Salt Lake by Aunt Breezy's boyfriend, Cody. He was in so much pain, yet another tooth died. Arg. Dang it! This is what happens with a compromised immune system.

We had a great trip together! We were happy to get home Thursday night. We spent Friday and Saturday working in the yard when it wasn't raining and Mom worked online selling. We are blessed we got to get away as a family!
