Happy Valentines!
Allen Kids!
This is a video of me relieving my stress while doing yoga. Chloe age 3 is in front and Lily age 2 is the naked one. They were actually pretty good at it! Yoga is my new favorite thing. Adam got me 2 yoga dvd's and mats. Sometimes we even do it together. Enjoy this movie!
We loved taking the kids to the jungle gym. It really wore them out quick which made bed time easier for us. Plus they usually slept longer than 6am after running around for a couple hours in the jungle gym. Brigham is the little boy. Let me tell you he is the most easy going baby ever! No offense Josh and Janae!
Adam and I still went to school while doing this and it was a challenge. By the end of the day we were so tired. The kids were usually asleep by 8pm and it felt like our bedtime as well! We even tried keeping them up til 9:30pm so they would sleep longer but they were still up by 7am. Brigham got sick so there were a couple of days were Adam and I were up almost all night with a crying baby. This made the next day with a 1,2,and 3 year old so hard! I wanted to put myelf in timeout! Don't worry though we got Brigham some tylenol with antihisthamine and he slept great after that! Thank you drugs!
We also took the kids to church 2 Sundays. Adam got crayon on his suit and I had lots of sticky honey nut cherrio handprints on me. We were so grateful for sunbeams and nursery.
We also potty trained the 2 year old! The first day we were there Lily asked me if she could wear a pullup. I figured if she was asking and was that interested in potty training why not? She wore pullups for 2 days with no accidents then she moved up to panties. We used stickers and "special" cookies as incentives. We are confident we ruined Julie's children with these "special" grasshoppers cookies. Julie is a excellent mom teaching her kids to not only eat but to also enjoy healthy foods. Everything they eat is whole wheat, low sugar, non-fat etc.
The kids had a paper link chain on the fridge and everytime they went to sleep they got to take one off. I think that after the first week the countdown chain was more for me and Adam than the kids. Now we are done and love it! All of the sudden our life is back. Those kids took up all our time.
We used some of the money we got from Allens and bought a 2 man sleeping bag, tent, and a dutch oven. Hopefully we can use some of this in 2 weeks during spring break!
Adam is working a Zions as an on-call teller. He will do this or 2 months and in the summer he will work there full time. We are grateful that we finally found something that is in his field. I still work for Cache Valley Specialty Hospital doing Physical Therapy and love it!
