Getting There

Today we moved both kid beds into the big yellow bedroom. Rachel is a champ and sleeping in a big girl bed after 1 day! awesome! She is the BEST sleeper!

I moved all of Rachel's clothes into her new dresser (pictures later) and put baby boy clothes in her old dresser.

I washed all the boy blankets and have them in the nursery closet nicely folded. Oh, how those blankets all bring back special memories! I'm happy to be using them again. This 3 kid thing will sure be an adventure!

Blaze Game

We got FREE tickets from a lady Adam works with to go to the Utah Blaze game in Salt Lake. So, we decided why not try it? Indoor football, couldn't be that boring right? Right!!!!
$10 Pizza Hut dinner box that was eaten on the car ride down. Yum! I am so glad I brought a change of clothes for the kids.
$4 for parking
$20 in gas
Family Time Together = Priceless

It was a blast and the kids loved it! Especially Rachel! She screamed, danced, clapped, grinned, and drank sprite. I'll tell you what, she had a soggy diaper. Woah! But hey, it kept her happy!

Dayton loved the fireworks, watching the Tiger mascot and the others like Big Blue that were there for fun.

After the first half which was 2 hours we left. 9 pm with the drive home was plenty late.

Summer reading

We have started reading small chapter books together for the summer reading program at the library. At nap every day we read for at least 20 minutes. Dayton loved Little Bear that we just finished today. Now we are on to Frog and Toad. It is cool to be reading bigger books with him. He has always loved books and I'm grateful for it!

Let the projects begin...

First up.....
Dayton's room!

This room will now be Dayton and Rachel's room. They sleep together now in the "nursery" but by September our goal is to have Rachel in a big bed and them both in the same room. Im getting it put together which means this weekend I'm painting, yellow!

It's a....

Boy!!! Another boy to wrestle, play ball, drive trucks, and dig in the dirt with. We are both excited for Dayton to have a brother. When the ultrasound tech said boy, Adam loudly said, "yes!" and stood up from his seat. My hubby was beaming! I really didn't care either way. I am super happy!!!

They left my due date at November 17th! Shucks! I was hoping to be moved to my original Nov. 10th date so I can see Joe at the airport on November 18th. I'll just be praying that he comes 1 week early.

20 weeks!

I am half way there! We find out the gender tomorrow and I am thrilled! So far I would like to note that I have gained 6 pounds total. I have been in maternity clothes for a little over a month and feel big already. My biggest complaint so far is uterine cramping/stretching and leg pain. Ouch! I don't remember having this until the last month or so with my other kids. We are happy to be having another baby and I am taking it one day at a time.

What is summer for?

Camping!!! Two weeks ago we bought a trailer that sleeps 10 to create many many memories in with our kids. So far we have used it twice and it rocks! The kids sleep much better in it than a tent, it's warmer, quieter, has a potty for pregnant mom and 3 year old boys. I'm SO glad we made this decision because now instead of spending our weekend watching Disney and weeding the gardens we actually get out and camp together. Here are a bunch of pictures from this last weekends trip.

We went exploring down by the river. There was an uprooted tree right by the river that was obviously old since the roots were dry and growth was underneath. the kids threw rocks and sticks in the river. Rachel was amazed by the river, seriously dumb-founded by it!  It was amazing to see her so fascinated but then again I don't think she has ever seen a river.

Dayton and Daddy played on the stilts. We went on a hike/walk in the wagon too. D filled his pockets with rocks the whole way.

He's a diva!

Dayton found Rachel's pink princess sunglasses today. He put them on and took a picture all by himself. I just found this on my phone and died laughing! I love my cool kid!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.... girl!

I love my baby and she is full of such spunk! She looked so precious and so big in her summer dress today I had to take a hundred pictures!

Rachel is in a darling phase! It's as if in the last week she has "grown up." I love how independent she is getting. She is definitely a toddler now.
Those big blue eyes make me melt and they sure remind me of heaven.
She has long beautiful blonde hair that curls into perfect ringlets all on it's own. Like my Grandma Day's porcelain dolls that I couldn't' ever play with because they were so pretty. Now, I have a REAL porcelain doll that I created. What a miracle!
She loves looking out the window and playing outside. She loves following her brother and mimicking what he plays. Just the other day it was digging in the dirt outside and putting it in each others hair. She loves being a kid!
She gets frustrated sometimes, this face is common around here. Rachel is very determined and opinionated. Qualities that I do not want to squish and belittle. I know she will need those in this tough world as she grows. She is still learning to talk and I am trying to be a very patient Mother. I try to understand how completely frustrating it must be to know exactly what you want and think that you are telling me and then having Mom not understand. I'm hoping her words come sooner rather than later.
My baby girl is so lovely and adds to our life greatly!
Rachel is adventurous and strong! She climbs up the slide and feels so big that when she jumps off the steps she grins and claps for herself.

Those sweet cheeks melt my heart! She is a Mommas girl but she has a special place in her heart for her Daddy too!

Rachel is a cheese ball and now says "cheese" for her crazy picture taking Mother. She is bright and happy and social!

I LOVE YOU RACH-Y!

Fathers Day

Father's Day post.....(again, the other was deleted so forgive the shortness)

We had a nice day together! The kids both made these cute footprint cards in nursery. I am SUPER impressed with our nursery leaders. The kids were great today too!

Walking into church, notice the tie D made for Adam at preschool. He gets the cool Dad award for wearing it to church.

Rach and Daddy, she loves her shoes.
D is our little lover!

I made Adam a book of the kids on Shutterfly and it turned out perfect. He liked it!

After church and naps we visited Grandpa Craig and made s'mores together. It was nice!

I love you Adam to the moon and back! I am grateful you are the Daddy to my children!

HuHot

Adam and I tried a new restaurant up here. It's the first one in Utah the waitress said and it is awesome! It's a mongolian BBQ that is buffet style. You make what you want by choosing your meat, noodles, veggies, fruits, and sauces. Then you give it to the grill guys and they cook it right in front of you. It was super yummy and a fun atmosphere too! We will definitely be going again! We also ordered s'mores (expensive ones) but totally worth the extra money for the flame at our table and the added fun. It was honestly one of the best date nights we have had in a long time, we took our time and enjoyed each other. After dinner we walked around Summer Fest and looked at the art and booths. It was nice to hold hands and not worry about the kids.
