Picked the Pumpkins from our Patch
This is our pumpkin haul this year. We grew a lot! We are proud. Now hopefully they make it a month til we can carve them.
Dirt
Playing in the dirt and eating it is a right of passage for every child, right? I came out to find these two together in the garden. Rolling a ball down the track D made the other night. Super creative of Dayton, by the way. Of course Vivie had a handful of dirt and was eating it. Oh dear! A little dirt never hurt anyone I guess. ha ha ha!

Mom, can we pretend we are playing in the snow?
Rachel asked me this today and when I said sure she promptly gathered all of their snow gear, including boots and headed outside. She got a sled and they went sledding down the wet grass on the hill. It was priceless! I love when they play pretend.

Weekend Away Again
We got away last weekend. It was SO fun and needed! Grandma paid for us to stay in a hotel. She is too nice. She feels bad we can't stay at her house, cause it isn't her's. She lives with a friend that is also single and older so they have a buddy. Plus, they have cats! Terrible for Mom's allergies. So she got us this hotel. We swam for 2 hours before heading to bed. Then we enjoyed a big breakfast and headed to the Hogle Zoo. The kids loved the animals although it was a bit cold. Then we got to stay at Uncle Nate and Alex's in Provo after we visited Davee. We headed hom early Sunday morning to get back for Jake Sorensen and Kaia's baby blessing of Jocelyn. He asked Adam to be in the circle. We had a great time together! Until next trip I will just have to soak up these great pictures! Our kids are adorable!

Dayton at School
D's teacher uses a cool app called Class DoJo. She shares photos and info on the class page weekly. She posted these photos of D building during math. He looks so happy! Plus that is a killer tower or robot or spider guy. So far my observation is the new schools way of teaching is much for fitting for his learning style and encourages creativity and movement instead of sitting and doing worksheets all day. He rarely comes home with worksheets. Just wanted to share these gems!
Baker Report
Rachel got to do a report on a community helper for Kindergarten. She chose baker. We got to stay up late and make cookies together for her to learn or should I say practice what a baker does. Then she took them to school to share with her class. I went and saw her present and it was just about 2 minutes or pure goodness. She was darling! Mrs. Parish asked her "Why do you want to be a Baker?" She quickly said, "Because I like making treats to eat with my family." What a great response! Good job sis!

Tomato Harvest Round Two & Raspberries
We sent a 5 gallon bucket with Grandma Trudy to do salsa a couple weeks ago. This is what we picked out second go around. Isn't it amazing? The kids all helped too!
We also spent the morning picking berries together. Our patch does really well. Vivian napped, that was helpful. The kids actually liked crawling under the tunnels of bushed and finding the hiding raspberries. I made 2 batches of jam. One raspberry and one peach/raspberry. Yum!

Carter's All About Me
Today at preschool Carter shared his all about me poster. He was so cute doing it too! He looks so big in the picture to me. He is almost four and slaying preschool this year. He is in a class with kids one year older than him and is advanced compared to some in there. Makes me proud!
